Abstract: A device including a NAND-flash memory comprising a read-only portion storing boot code and a key, and a system on a chip (SoC) coupled to the NAND-flash memory is provided. The SoC includes a read-only memory (ROM) storing one or more instructions and a processor configured to execute, upon startup, the one or more instructions stored in the ROM to request from the NAND-flash memory the boot code and the key. The processor further configured to load and execute the boot code to perform a chain of trust verification process on subsequent code during a booting process using the key. A method for using the device is also presented.

Abstract: A system and method for generating activity summaries to users of a social network server is disclosed. User activity information is received by a user activity information receiver module. The user activity information is then categorized by a categorization module, which in some implementations, also groups the categorized user activity information in accordance with commonalities identified among the user activity information. The categorized user activity information is ranked according to relevance to the user by the ranking module or according to relevance to the user's contacts. An output generation module 308 determines when the groupings are complete. Activity summaries are then generated by the output generation module. The activity summary includes the categorized user activity information. The activity summary is sent for display on a user device of a user.

Abstract: A computing device is described that determines, based on a state of a user, an initial user-interaction metric for information to be presented to the user and predicts, using a machine-learning model, a plurality of future states of the user. Each future state is associated with a respective user-interaction metric for the information. The device determines whether the initial user-interaction metric for the information is greater than or equal to the respective user-interaction metric of each of the future states and outputs an indication of the information if the initial user-interaction metric is greater than or equal to the respective user-interaction metric of each of the future states. However, if the initial user-interaction metric for the information is less than the respective user-interaction metric of any of the future states, the device refrains from outputting the indication of the information.

Abstract: In general, this disclosure is directed to techniques for enabling an application extension executing as part of an application of a computing device to: automatically predict, based on contextual information associated with the computing device or the application, potential search queries from a set of predetermined search queries, and display graphical elements (e.g., icons, images, or other types of graphical elements) indicative of the predicted search queries within the graphical keyboard. The application extension may analyze the contextual information for use in the search query prediction only after receiving express consent from a user of the computing device to do so. The application extension may execute, or cause to be executed, a search based on a predicted search query in response to the computing device detecting a user input that selects, from directly within the graphical keyboard, the graphical element that is associated with the predicted search query.

Abstract: Systems and methods for providing interaction data in response to a query from a content provider are provided. One method includes receiving a query from the content provide including a plurality of parameters relating to interactions with a content item of the content provider.
