摘要: Water repellent soils may be treated with an aqueous wetting composition comprising from 10 to 100,000 ppm of an anionic derivative of alkyl polyglycosides to improve the ability of the soil to be penetrated by water. This composition may also be combined with certain known wetting agents to produce a synergistic wetting effect. It is emphasized that this abstract is provided to comply with the rules requiring an abstract which will allow a searcher or other reader to quickly ascertain the subject matter of the technical disclosure. 摘要: Hydration of clays and shales may be inhibited during drilling operations by using a clay and shale inhibitor. The inhibitor may be used with a water based drilling fluid. The clay and shale inhibitor includes from 0.2 to 5 % by weight of a reaction product of an epoxy resin with at least one primary or secondary aliphatic or cycloaliphatic amine.

摘要: An additive for reducing filtrate loss may be obtained by the reaction of carboxymethyl cellulose with an ethylenically unsaturated monomer containing a sulfonic group in the form of acid or salt thereof. The product of the reaction useful in water-based drilling muds which are employed in the drilling and/or completion of oil wells. The additive exhibits its characteristic function of filtrate reduction even at high temperature and pressure conditions; and, moreover, it is suitable for application in the presence of salts and solids.
