Abstract: A method implemented by a multi-chip package (MCP) electronic device including a die-to-die (D2D) interface is provided. The method includes receiving, by a receiver portion of a first die of the D2D interface, and from a transmitter portion of a second die of the D2D interface, a first timing signal and a second timing signal. The method includes generating a timing calibration signal based on a timing value corresponding to a midpoint of an estimated margin between overlaying segments of the first timing signal and a timing value corresponding to a delay of a unit delay associated with the receiver portion. The method includes generating an output timing signal based on the timing calibration signal, and selecting a timing delay signal based on the output timing signal and the timing calibration signal. The timing delay signal is selected to reduce a potential glitch power associated with the receiver portion.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure are directed to providing an artificial reality environment with augments and surfaces. An “augment” is a virtual container in 3D space that can include presentation data, context, and logic. An artificial reality system can use augments as the fundamental building block for displaying 2D and 3D models in the artificial reality environment. For example, augments can represent people, places, and things in an artificial reality environment and can respond to a context such as a current display mode, time of day, a type of surface the augment is on, a relationship to other augments, etc. Augments can be on a “surface” that has a layout and properties that cause augments on that surface to display in different ways. Augments and other objects (real or virtual) can also interact, where these interactions can be controlled by rules for the objects evaluated based on information from the shell.

Abstract: A method by a computing system associated with a set of disjoint devices that includes at least one wearable device includes receiving a request to perform a task. The method further includes determining a plurality of workload assignments needed to be performed to accomplish the task. The method further includes distributing, based on the thermal-constraint differentials of the set of disjoint devices, the plurality of workload assignments to one or more devices of the set of disjoint devices to satisfy one or more power or thermal constraints associated with each device of the set of disjoint devices. The method further includes performing the task by causing the one or more devices to execute the distributed plurality of work assignments.

The processor can determine a geolocation of the AP using the mode and the weight and select, based at least on the geolocation of the AP, a configuration of the plurality of configurations to use for wireless communication with the AP.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure can trigger an action based on a motion detected by an artificial reality (XR) device, such as a head-mounted display (HMD). The XR device can display an XR experience to a user. While displaying the XR experience, the XR device can detect a physical interaction with the XR device using one of more sensors (e.g., sensors of an inertial measurement unit (IMU)). The physical interaction can generate a movement profile captured by the one or more sensors. The XR device can identify the physical interaction as a particular motion (e.g., one or more taps on the XR device) by applying a machine learning model to the movement profile. In response to identifying the particular motion, the XR device can trigger an action on the XR device (e.g., activating pass-through on the XR device).

Abstract: The disclosed apparatus may include an eye-tracking system incorporating transparent metal mesh. For example, a head-mounted display device may include optical lenses with eye-tracking layers. In one or more examples, the eye-tracking layers may include micro light emitting diodes connected to an LED controller with transparent metal mesh traces. Moreover, the eye-tracking layers may further include one or more wireless metal mesh antennas. As such, due to the transparency of metal mesh over previous components, the disclosed eye-tracking system can feature improved functionality and visibility when incorporated into a head-mounted display device. Various other implementations also disclosed.
