摘要: A quick release assembly for use in mounting a display system to a fixture. The system includes an attachment assembly on a back side of the display system that receives pins from a mounting bracket into openings of lock modules that include a latch that holds at least one pin in place. The latch is held in the lock position by spring bias. An actuator wire made of a shape memory alloy contracts when an electrical current is applied. The contraction of the wire overcomes the spring bias to move the latch from the lock position to an unlocked position to allow the display system to be removed from the pin.

摘要: Systems and methods for pairing a personal electronic device of a passenger with a passenger seat in a vehicle using a PWM light identification, and for allowing the personal electronic device to control passenger in-seat functions and features. The system comprises an on-board video system having an in-seat display system for installation in a vehicle. The on-board video system is configured to communication a PWM light identification from a monitor of the in-seat display system which is captured by an imaging device of the personal electronic device. The on-board video system receives pairing information from the personal electronic device corresponding to the captured light identification via a wireless communication link. The on-board video system then validates the pairing information and pairs the personal electronic device to the passenger seat and authorizes the personal electronic device to control passenger seat functions associated with the passenger seat.

摘要: An antenna assembly including a support and antenna tiles disposed in the support. The antenna tiles form an external surface corresponding substantially in shape to lateral faces of a frustum. The frustum includes a central axis with the antenna tiles disposed around the central axis of the frustum and sloping away therefrom. Each antenna tile includes opposite ends, with one end narrower than the other end. A planar array of antenna elements is disposed on each antenna tile in which the antenna elements of each array are configured to operate as a phased array. A control system connects to the planar arrays of antenna elements in which the control system is configured to selectively activate and deactivate each of the planar arrays.

摘要: Methods and systems for a transportation vehicle are provided. For example, one method includes storing a key on a device of a transportation vehicle and a headset; generating a challenge by the device using the key when the headset is connected to the device; presenting the challenge to the headset by the device; creating a response to the challenge by the headset; presenting the response to the device; validating the response by the device; and enabling a data line for the headset by the device when the response is valid.

摘要: Methods and systems for a transportation vehicle are provided. For example, one method includes storing a first portion of a media file at a first device of a peer-to-peer group having a plurality of devices at a transportation vehicle; storing a remaining portion of the media file at one or more of the plurality of devices; using the first portion of the media file to start providing access to the media file; and retrieving the remaining portions of the media file, on-demand, from the one or more devices, based on resource utilization of the one or more devices.

摘要: Systems and methods for transferring a public announcement message to an onboard public announcement system (OPAS) installed on a vehicle using a personal electronic device. The personal electronic device establishes a wireless network connection to the OPAS to transmit a public announcement message stored on a personal electronic device. The personal electronic device transmits the public announcement message to the OPAS via the wireless network connection. The personal electronic device may download messages from a remote public announcement server for transfer to the OPAS. The personal electronic device may also record messages and control the playback of messages on the OPAS.

摘要: In the selective wiping of data stored on an aircraft Inflight Entertainment and Communications (IFEC) computer system, a potential attack indicator generated in response to a detection of an attack attempt that is received from a remote manager client computer system. The potential attack indicator includes an attack severity classification, which is correlated to one of a plurality of attack attempt responses. Each of the attack attempt responses correspond to a data sensitivity classification, and each predefined block of data stored on the IFEC computer system is assigned a data sensitivity classification. According to the attack attempt response that was correlated to the received attack severity classification, the predefined blocks of data assigned to the data sensitivity classification corresponding to the attack attempt response are deleted.
