摘要: Disclosed herein is a method for resource allocation in an edge-computing environment. The method includes receiving a request for an intelligent edge service, selecting the worker server to execute the service based on an input/output congestion level, allocating resources based on topology information of the worker server, and configuring a virtual environment based on the allocated resources.

摘要: A multi-user flexible Ethernet fine granularity time slot allocation method and apparatus. The method is specifically: providing two time slot resource allocation and deployment schemes according to user demands, where the first scheme performs time slot allocation based only on an objective of global minimization of jitter of time slot allocated to all the users and can improve resource allocation equity and improve whole performance of a network. The second scheme performs weighted sum of delay and jitter minimization based time slot allocation on each user according to the quantity of time slots required for the users in sequence from large to small on the premise of most user input data in the current time slot assignment period being transmitted in the current time slot assignment period.

摘要: Techniques for sending Compute Express Link (CXL) packets over Ethernet (CXL-E) in a composable data center that may include disaggregated, composable servers. The techniques may include receiving, from a first server device, a request to bind the first server device with a multiple logical device (MLD) appliance. Based at least in part on the request, a first CXL-E connection may be established for the first server device to export a computing resource to the MLD appliance. The techniques may also include receiving, from the MLD appliance, an indication that the computing resource is available, and receiving, from a second server device, a second request for the computing resource. Based at least in part on the second request, a second CXL-E connection may be established for the second server device to consume or otherwise utilize the computing resource of the first server device via the MLD appliance.

摘要: Various methods and systems for implementing request scheduling and processing in a multi-tenant distributed computing environment are provided. Requests to utilize system resources in the distributed computing environment are stored in account queues corresponding to tenant accounts. If storing a request in an account queue would exceed a throttling threshold such as a limit on the number of requests stored per account, the request is dropped to a throttling queue. A scheduler prioritizes processing requests stored in the processing queue before processing requests stored in the account queues. The account queues can be drained using dominant resource scheduling. In some embodiments, a request is not picked up from an account queue if processing the request would exceed a predefined hard limit on system resource utilization for the corresponding tenant account. In some embodiments, the hard limit is defined as a percentage of threads the system has to process requests.

摘要: According to one aspect, a system for resource management may perform receiving a total resource request, a vector of two or more maximum available resources associated with two or more corresponding resource providers, and a number of resource providers and calculating an individual resource request for each of the two or more resource providers based on a classification number. Any resource provider having a maximum available resource less than or equal to the classification number may be assigned an individual resource request equal to their corresponding maximum available resource.

摘要: A method for indicating preemption in a communication system is disclosed. A method for operating a terminal comprises the steps of: receiving, from a base station, information indicating a first resource area, to which a preemption-capable resource belongs, for transmission of first data; receiving resource allocation information of second data from the base station; performing a monitoring operation for detecting a PI indicating a preempted resource for transmission of the first data in the first resource area, when the first resource area overlaps with a second resource area indicated by the resource allocation information; and performing decoding on the basis of the detected PI. Therefore, the performance of the communication system may be improved.

摘要: A computing node includes a NIC and processing circuitry configured to select a subset of computing resources from a set of available computing resources to initiate a parameter sweep associated with a parameter sweep request received. A plurality of settings is applied to each computing resource of the subset to generate a plurality of resource mappings during the parameter sweep. Each resource mapping of the plurality of resource mappings indicates at least one computing resource of the subset and a corresponding at least one setting of the plurality of settings. Telemetry information for the subset of computing resources is retrieved, the telemetry information is generated during the parameter sweep. A resource mapping of the plurality of resource mappings is selected based on a comparison of the telemetry information with an SLO. A reconfiguration of the available computing resources is performed based on the selected resource mapping.

摘要: Various methods and edge computing systems are disclosed that implement a versatile elastic edge compute (vEEC) system that includes a computing mesh including two or more edge computing nodes (ECNs). The ECNs may be configured to identify ECNs in the vEEC and their capabilities, determine resource requirements for one or more software applications or tasks within the vEEC system, dynamically scale network resources based on the determined requirements, resolve network congestion by redistributing tasks among ECNs based on network traffic analysis, implement failover to cloud resources for ECNs that face resource limitations, offload computational tasks from edge devices, monitor network performance and resource utilization for adjustments, and refine resource allocation models and system configurations based on feedback and performance metrics.

摘要: One example method includes adjusting overall resource usage in a digital twin network that includes a dynamically informed digital twin of a near-edge node and a dynamically informed digital twin of far-edge nodes. Operational conditions of a dynamically informed digital twin are evaluated based on contextual variables that represent operating properties of the dynamically informed digital twin. Updated information levels are received from an orchestration service of the dynamically informed digital twin. The updated information levels define an amount of resources the dynamically informed digital twin will use in the performance of primary tasks. The updated information levels are parsed. A physical entity associated with the dynamically informed digital twin is informed to adjust sampling properties or increase or decrease its activity and the dynamically informed digital twin is informed to modify information processing methods to thereby adjust the overall resource usage in the digital twin network.
