Abstract: Disclosed is a road speed limit identification method. The road speed limit identification method includes: obtaining a driving image captured during driving of a moving object; setting a region of interest in the obtained driving image and generating a grayscale-processed image on the basis of an image of the region of interest; detecting a speed limit sign image from the grayscale-processed image; calculating a first brightness value of a number region, a second brightness value of a border region, and a third brightness value of an in-border region other than the number region in the detected speed limit sign image; and identifying a speed limit displayed on a speed limit sign on the basis of the plurality of calculated brightness values.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are an apparatus and a method for route guidance. The method for route guidance includes receiving a destination from a user; determining a current position of a vehicle; calculating a driving route from the current position to the destination; when an intersection exists within in a predetermined distance on the driving route while performing the route guidance according to the calculated driving route, confirming a ranking of a search link positioned on the calculated driving route among search links exiting from an end node existing on the intersection; comparing rotation direction information of the search link corresponding to the confirmed ranking of the search link with moving direction information of a lane on which the vehicle is positioned; and performing lane change guidance of the vehicle according to a comparison result of the rotation direction information and the moving direction information.

Abstract: A road curve guidance method is provided. The road curve guidance method includes: obtaining link information corresponding to a road on which a vehicle is being driven; determining a position of the vehicle on a link at a future time point based on the obtained link information; and judging a degree of risk of a curve section in which the vehicle is to be driven after a predetermined time using the determined position and speed of the vehicle at a reference time point.

Abstract: Navigation devices and methods of operation are provided. The navigation device includes a communication unit; a display; an input unit for receiving an input of data; a communication unit; and a controller for controlling operation of the display and the input unit. The controller connects to a data server through the communication unit, requests path setting information to the data server, receives the path setting information from the data server, acquires present position information of the navigation device, acquires a user moving path by reflecting the acquired position information and the received path setting information, and sets the user moving path as a guidance path. In this case, the path setting information is generated in another electronic device or the data server based on user input information input from the another electronic device.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method for displaying lane information of an electronic device. The method for displaying lane information according to the present disclosure includes: acquiring an image photographed while a vehicle is driving; dividing the acquired image according to a distance from the vehicle; detecting lane display lines in the divided areas; calve-fitting the detected lane display lines to a continuous curve; and displaying the curve-fitted curve on a predetermined user interface. According to the present disclosure, it is possible to improve the route visibility to the driver by recognizing the far-distance lane by determining whether the vehicle is in the driving lane. In addition, it is possible to more accurately provide the route guidance information by using the real-time lane recognition results for the display of the route guidance.
