    Abstract: There is provided a cartridge for an aerosol-generating system, the cartridge comprising a container comprising an outer surface and an inner surface, wherein the container outer surface at least partially defines an outer surface of the cartridge. The cartridge also includes a susceptor material comprising a susceptor material inner surface at least partially defining a cartridge cavity, the susceptor material inner surface defining a plurality of interstices. The cartridge also includes an aerosol-forming substrate in the form of a gel at room temperature, plurality of interstices are configured to hold the gel.

The tobacco filler material and cellulose filler material can be arranged such that the constituent material particles are generally distributed throughout the smoking rod, the tobacco filler material at least partially surrounds the cellulose filler material along a length of the smoking rod, and/or the cellulose filler material particles have a higher concentration along a central axis of the smoking rod than the tobacco filler material particles.

    Abstract: A aerosol-generating system includes a liquid storage portion, a liquid pressure sensor within the liquid storage portion, and a control unit that is in communication with the pressure sensor. The aerosol-generating system further includes an atmospheric pressure sensor in communication with the control unit. The atmospheric pressure sensor is configured to sense the atmospheric pressure of the environment. The control unit is configured to receive the pressure signals from the liquid pressure sensor and the atmospheric pressure sensor. The control unit is further configured to determine the fill level of the liquid aerosol-forming substrate based on a comparison of the pressure signals from the liquid pressure sensor and the atmospheric pressure sensor.

    Abstract: A reservoir component of an electronic vaping device includes an outer housing, an air inlet, a vapor outlet, an air passage communicating with the air inlet and the vapor outlet, and a reservoir. A magnetic, electrically conductive and resistive heater element is located adjacent the air passage. The heater element is configured to be in electrical communication with an alternator of a power supply component. A wick is in communication with the reservoir and is configured to draw pre-vapor formulation from the reservoir toward the heater element. The heater element is configured to heat pre-vapor formulation to a temperature sufficient to vaporize the pre-vapor formulation and form a vapor.

    Abstract: A method of forming a wrapped article, comprising the steps of: forming a continuous stream of material such as an agricultural product; moving the continuous stream of material along an elongated path; compressing the continuous stream of material to reduce the cross-sectional area thereof until a predetermined cross-sectional dimension is achieved; drawing the compressed continuous stream of material through a rod-forming arrangement, the rod-forming arrangement having a non-contact displacement transducer associated therewith; folding at least one web longitudinally around the compressed continuous stream of material to form a continuous rod of material; and detecting variations in rod density within the rod-forming arrangement from a signal obtained from the non-contact displacement transducer.
