摘要： A modular switching system including a plurality of switch modules connected in cascade. Each module includes a portion of a signal bus, terminals for connection of an external device, switch means for connecting the external device to the signal bus and an addressable logic circuit. An external device can be connected to the signal bus by providing to the logic circuit cascade a number of address pulses corresponding to the position in the cascade of the selected external device. By providing a number of such cascades an entire system, for example an audio system, can be formed. The system can be expanded simply by connecting additional switch modules to each or any cascade and an external device connected thereto is automatically addressable according to its position in the cascade.

摘要： Joint uplink transmission power and bit rate control is provided. Data bits are received by a network Node B on an enhanced dedicated channel, E-DCH, from a user equipment, UE. End-user quality of service, QoS, for the received data bits is estimated. System coverage at a radio receiver of the network Node B is estimated. The estimated end-user QoS and the estimated system coverage represent a current working point of the UE. The current working point of the UE is related to a preferred working point. As a result thereof a transmission power control, TPC, command and a scheduling grant, SG, is determined for the UE so as to move the current working point towards the preferred working point and thereby adjust uplink transmission power and bit rate.

The base station determines a first number m; P of historical transmit power control, TPC, commands based on a signal power and an interference level. The base station determines a second number 2k; n+Q of current TPC commands based on the first number m; P of historical TPC commands, or based on the first number m; P of historical TPC commands and a third number n−K of signal power and interference level pairs. The base station transmits a sequence of TPC commands comprising the first number of historical TPC commands and the second number of current TPC commands to the user equipment to adjust the user equipment's transmission power.

摘要： The preparation of vinyl ester homo- or copolymers by emulsion polymerization is described. The process is performed in the presence of a polymerization-retarding component in at least two phases, the concentration of the vinyl ester monomer in the polymerization mixture in the first phase having been depleted by not more than 50% at the end of the first phase compared to the concentration of the vinyl ester monomer in the polymerization mixture at the start of the first phase, and the concentration of the vinyl ester monomer in the polymerization mixture in the second phase being depleted compared to the concentration at the end of the first phase. The retarding component is depleted during the first phase. In the second phase, the heat of reaction is removed by evaporative cooling. In the first phase, the emulsion polymerization is effected at temperatures up to the boiling point of the vinyl ester-water azeotrope, and, in the second phase, at temperatures above the boiling point of the vinyl ester-water azeotrope.The process is notable for a short cycle time and high space-time yields and can be operated safely.

A command to control an operation of at least one of the plurality of digital media devices is transmitted from the mobile terminal and is received at the digital media control point device via the wireless connection using a second communications protocol that is different from the first communications protocol. The received command is correlated to a corresponding command in accordance with the first communications protocol, and is transmitted to the at least one of the plurality of digital media devices via the network using the first communications protocol. Data from the at least one of the plurality of digital media devices is received at the digital media control point device via the network using the first communications protocol, and at least a portion of the data is transmitted to the mobile terminal via the wireless connection using the second communications protocol. Related devices and computer program products are also discussed.
