摘要: A vinyl acetate-ethylene (VAE) copolymer and uses of the same are provided. The vinyl acetate-ethylene (VAE) copolymer includes a structural unit derived from ethylene and a structural unit derived from vinyl acetate. The 1H-NMR spectrum of the vinyl acetate-ethylene (VAE) copolymer has an integral value B of signals from 0.5 ppm to 1.0 ppm and an integral value A of signals from 4.6 ppm to 5.0 ppm, and the value of B/3A ranges from 0.070 to 0.120. The 1H-NMR spectrum is measured by using dimethyl sulfoxide as a solvent.

摘要: Controlling the shutdown of a polyethylene reactor system that includes a secondary compressor, a reactor, a high pressure let down valve (HPLDV), a high-pressure separator, and a high-pressure recycle gas system is provided. After a partial or complete shutdown of secondary compressor, HPLDV opens to a pre-set open position until the reactor pressure reduces to either a pre-set reduced pressure limit or a until the slope of the reactor gas density to reactor pressure exceeds 0.15. The HPLDV controls the pressure to a pressure set point.

摘要: This invention relates to a process for producing a recyclable ethylene-vinyl ester polymer comprising reacting an ethylene-vinyl ester polymer having an irreversibly crosslinked structure with a poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA), via a transesterification reaction, in the presence of a transesterification catalyst, to produce a recyclable ethylene-vinyl ester vitrimer. This invention also relates to a recyclable ethylene-vinyl ester vitrimer prepared according to the process.

摘要: Methods of treating fibers comprising a polymer including at least one of a vinyl acetate moiety or a vinyl alcohol moiety, and resulting fibers or the products comprising the resulting fibers are disclosed. In an example embodiment, a fiber having a surface region and an interior region, includes a polymer comprising at least one of a vinyl acetate moiety or a vinyl alcohol moiety chemically modified with a modification agent. The fiber has a transverse cross-section including the interior region comprising the polymer having a first degree of modification and the surface region comprising the polymer having a second degree of modification greater than the first degree of modification.

摘要: A polymerization reactor for producing aqueous polymer dispersions by radically initiated emulsion polymerization of one or more ethylenically unsaturated monomers in the presence of one or more protective colloids and/or emulsifiers, is cleaned by initially charging an aqueous mixture comprising one or more ethylenically unsaturated monomers, one or more protective colloids and/or emulsifiers, but no oxidation initiator, the proportion of ethylenically unsaturated monomers being 20 to 70% by weight of the aqueous mixture, heating the aqueous mixture to a temperature of 50° C. to 100° C. for 5 minutes to 3 hours, adding one or more initiators and optionally further starting materials, initiating polymerization, removing the aqueous polymer dispersion thus obtained from the polymerization reactor and post-treating the dispersion to remove wall deposits detached during the process.

the sodium acetate content is 0.05 mass % or more and less than 2 mass %.-

摘要: A waterborne one-component coating composition capable of self-crosslinking and exhibiting a gloss and hardness improvement when cured that is similar to a solventborne two-component composition. The composition includes a urethane phase including a polyurethane polymer with at least polyester diol monomer units, polycarbonate diol monomer units, and ketone-functionalized diol monomer units. The composition may include an optional acrylic phase including an acrylic polymer having monomer units selected from one of alkyl (meth)acrylate monomer units, vinyl acetate monomer units, styrene monomer units, ketone-functional vinyl monomer units, or combinations thereof. The composition includes a hydrazine-functionalized crosslinking agent configured to crosslink one of the ketone-functionalized diol monomer units, the ketone-functional vinyl monomer units, or both. The composition further includes one or more tertiary amine reaction moderators or neutralizing agents.

摘要: Pressure sensitive adhesive compositions are disclosed comprising acrylic emulsions that are emulsion polymerization products of (a) a monomer mixture comprising, based on the total weight of monomers in the monomer mixture, from 50 to 99 weight percent 2-ethylhexyl acrylate and from 1 to 50 weight percent an unsaturated monomer, (b) a surfactant, and (c) an initiator. Methods for preparing pressure sensitive adhesive compositions are also disclosed. Food contact articles comprising the disclosed pressure sensitive adhesive compositions are also disclosed. In some embodiments, the disclosed food contact articles have an overall migration of less than 25 mg/dm2, as measured in accordance with EN 1186, or less than 10 mg/dm2, as measured in accordance with EN 1186.
