Abstract:
The invention relates to an environment-friendly process for the preparation of weakly acid cation exchange resins by hydrolysis of crosslinked acrylonitrile bead polymers with an alkaline hydrolizing agent at elevated temperature, according to which the bead polymer and alkaline hydrolizing agent are brought together at elevated temperature only.
Abstract:
A process for the preparation of a bifunctional anion exchange resin by partial quaternization of a weakly basic anion exchanger containing tertiary amino groups which process comprises (a) partially loading the weakly basic anion exchanger with a strong acid and (b) quaternizing the partially loaded anion exchanger by means of a customary alkylating agent.
Abstract:
The invention relates to an inverter with a direct-voltage source and a chopper section, the chopper section having push-pull switching at a frequency f.sub.0. A parallel tuned circuit, the resonant frequency of which is 2f.sub.0 is provided between the direct-voltage source and the chopper section.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a flexible hose formed of a wound web material and having its walls reinforced by wire windings, with the edges of successive web windings overlapping one another. In accordance with the invention, the longitudinal axes (Da) of the wires (13, 13', 13") and the longitudinal axis (ba) of the web material (3) extend at equal inclination with respect to the hose axis (A), and the reinforcement consists of at least two wire windings.
Abstract:
A process for the preparation of hydroxy-diphenylamines by condensation of dihydroxybenzene with an excess amount of primary aromatic amine in the presence of a catalytic amount of an acid at elevated temperature is described wherein the excess aromatic amine and, if appropriate, the reaction product is distilled off from the reaction mixture in the presence of a base.
