The pump housing includes a first suction duct (46; 46′) that forms a first flow path from a first suction connector (44; 44′) to a suction side of the impeller. The pump housing includes a receiving chamber (50; 50′) which intersects the first suction duct, is connected to a second suction connector (58; 82; 110; 116), and in an interior includes a movable valve element (64; 90; 100; 128) connected to an actuating drive (76; 94; 105; 124) and configured to, with the movement of the valve element, change a cross-sectional ratio between the first flow path which extends from the first suction connector and a second flow path which extends from the second suction connector.

Abstract: A pump system (1) includes a first (3) of at least one pump unit (3, 5) for pumping a fluid (11). The first pump unit (3) includes a pump, an electrical drive motor and a motor control, with a pump control for commanding the motor control. A sensor (7) with a sensor housing (27) and with sensor electronics (28) are located in the sensor housing (27) for detecting at least one parameter of the fluid (11) in the pump or in a pipe which is fluid-connected to the pump The pump control is integrated into the sensor electronics (28).

Abstract: A video sequence of a pump assembly or of a pump assembly part is produced. The video sequence is evaluated by way of digital signal processing assisted by a data base. A condition of the pump assembly is determined by way of this evaluation. In particular it is determined whether the pump runs in a designated manner or it is determined whether unallowably high oscillations are ascertained in a region, wherein this would indicate a defect, for example bearing damage or an unfavorable speed.

Abstract: A centrifugal pump (1) includes a pump casing and a shaft (11) which is rotatably mounted therein and on which an impeller (10), for delivering fluid, is arranged rotationally fixed. A cartridge shaft seal (13) is arranged between the shaft (11) and an opening (16) of the casing, through which opening the shaft (11) is led. The cartridge shaft seal (13) includes a sleeve (22) which surrounds the shaft (11) at least in the region of the opening 16 and which is connected to the shaft (11) releasably and rotationally fixed, by way of a clamping device (29) which is arranged on the outer side of the sleeve (22). The clamping device (29) includes clamping jaws (32) which only engage on the outer side of the sleeve (22) and non-positively connect the sleeve (22) to the shaft (11).

Abstract: A control system controls a fluid distribution system that includes consumer branches arranged in parallel. Each consumer branch includes a consumer element (31) consuming fluid and/or thermal energy, a regulating device (9) receiving a control value regulating a flow of fluid and/or thermal energy through the consumer branch, and a sensor (11) providing a measured value of the consumer branch. The control system includes a saturation calculation module (21) providing a saturation value, for each operational consumer branch, indicative of the saturation degree of the associated consumer branch, and a saturation compensation module (23) receiving the saturation values and altering a reference value. The altered reference value is based on an initial reference value and the saturation values from all consumer branches. The consumer branch regulating device, of each operational consumer branch, is controllable based on the altered reference value and the measured value of the associated consumer branch.

Abstract: A circulation pump assembly includes a first inlet (84), an outlet (80), an electric drive motor (30) and at least one impeller (68; 100) driven by the drive motor (30). The circulation pump assembly has at least one first flow path (26; 48) positioned in a connection between the first inlet (84) and the outlet (80) for increasing the pressure of a fluid. The circulation pump assembly has a second inlet (86). The at least one impeller (68; 100) has at least one second flow path (28; 50) for increasing the pressure of a fluid, which is positioned in a connection of the second inlet (86) to the outlet (80). A heating system is provided having a circulation pump assembly of this type.

Abstract: A method for adjusting the setpoint temperature of a heat transfer medium circulating in a heating or cooling system (9) inside a building or at least inside a surrounding part of a building. The heating or cooling circuit includes a plurality of heat transferring units, each with a temperature controlled valve. A sum opening degree (OD) of all temperature controlled valves is determined in a time dependent manner and a setpoint temperature Tw,ref of heat transferring medium is controlled according to a predetermined sum opening degree (OD) of all temperature controlled valves. A heating system (9) is provided for supplying heat to a building or a part of the building via a liquid heat transfer medium circulated in a circuit. The heating system (9) includes heat transferring units, each being equipped with a temperature controlled valve. The system is controllable according to the method for adjusting the setpoint temperature.
