Abstract: A damping force adjustable shock absorber including a compression-side ultra low speed valve that allows passage of an oil liquid from a lower cylinder chamber to an upper cylinder chamber. The compression-side ultra low speed valve is provided in a third passage and arranged in parallel to an extension-side ultra low speed valve. Thus, when a piston is performing a compression stroke and a piston speed falls within an ultra low speed range, oil liquid in the upper cylinder chamber can be expanded, resulting in a differential pressure between the upper cylinder chamber side and the lower cylinder chamber side of the compression-side ultra low speed valve (fifth low speed valve). As a result, when the piston speed falls within the ultra low speed range, the compression-side ultra low speed valve is opened, enabling generation of a damping force having a valve characteristic achieved by the ultra low speed valve.

Abstract: A steering apparatus includes a turning shaft movable in a vehicle widthwise direction, a pinion shaft meshed with the turning shaft and a first housing that retains therein the turning shaft and the pinion shaft. An inner circumferential surface of the first housing facing with the turning shaft is provided with an inclined portion that continuously changes an internal diameter. When a portion where a tooth of the turning shaft and a tooth of the pinion shaft are meshed with each other is defined as a meshed portion, the inclined portion is formed below at least the meshed portion.

Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a sensing performance evaluation and diagnosis system capable of detecting a failure sign of an external-environment recognition sensor as a diagnosis target without relying on reference information registered in advance on a map, by comparing an output of the external-environment recognition sensor as the diagnosis target with a reference output of the external-environment recognition sensor. The sensing performance evaluation and diagnosis system includes a sensing data acquisition unit that acquires sensing data around an own vehicle from an observation value of an external-environment sensor as a diagnosis target, which is mounted on the own vehicle, a surrounding information acquisition unit that acquires surrounding information data around the own vehicle from an observation value of a reference external-environment sensor, a reference value calculation unit that generates reference value data based on a recognition history of relative information to a reference object, which is included in the surrounding information data, and an evaluation unit that evaluates whether or not performance of the external-environment sensor as the diagnosis target is deteriorated or evaluates a degree of performance deterioration, by comparing the sensing data related to the reference object to a threshold value set for the reference value data.

Abstract: An electronic control device includes: a microcomputer; a wake-up circuit; and a relay switch self-retaining a power relay, and the wake-up circuit operates the relay switch in response to a wake-up signal from an OTA electronic control device, and starts power supply to the microcomputer to cause starting-up. During shutdown processing for the microcomputer, the microcomputer outputs a stop command to the relay switch before outputting a stop command to the wake-up circuit, whereby an output terminal (INH terminal) of the wake-up circuit is diagnosed for fixation based on an output signal from the wake-up circuit.

Abstract: There is provided an electronic control device in which a microcomputer and a power source IC are mounted, the electronic control device having high reliability and being capable of performing fixation diagnosis of a safety control signal of the power source IC before activation of the microcomputer. The electronic control device includes a microcomputer, and a power source IC that communicates with the microcomputer. The power source IC includes a monitoring circuit that monitors the microcomputer, a safety processing circuit that outputs a safety control signal when the monitoring circuit determines an occurrence of an abnormality in the microcomputer, and a diagnosis circuit that diagnoses whether or not the safety control signal has a fixation failure. The diagnosis circuit detects whether or not the fixation failure has occurred, based on states of the safety control signal before and after the safety control signal is activated after activation of a power source.

Abstract: A physical quantity detection device for reducing an influence of a sound wave generated in a turbocharger and suppressing a decrease in detection accuracy of a physical quantity including a flow rate of gas. The device detects a physical quantity of air from an intake passage of an engine equipped with a turbocharger. The physical device includes a sub-passage that takes in part of air flowing from an upstream to a downstream side of the intake passage along a first direction, and a flow rate detection unit that detects a flow rate of the air taken in the sub-passage. The sub-passage includes an inlet that opens toward the upstream side in the first direction, an outlet that opens toward the downstream side in the first direction, and an attenuation chamber that attenuates a sound wave propagating from the turbocharger to an inside of the outlet.
