摘要: A saddle-ride vehicle includes a forward travel sensor a brake that decelerates the vehicle by actuation of a rider-operable brake control. A controller identifies a trigger for an autonomous braking event for the brake. A rider sensor system is in electrical communication with the controller and includes one or both of: a rider cognition sensor operable to detect parameters of rider cognition and report rider cognition status to the controller, and a rider physical sensor operable to detect parameters of a physical engagement between a rider and the vehicle and report rider physical engagement status to the controller. The controller is programmed to perform one or both of the following in response to the identification of the autonomous braking event trigger: checking for a positive cognitive engagement of the rider with the rider cognition sensor, and checking for a positive physical engagement of the rider with the rider physical sensor.

摘要: A method of retrofitting a V-twin engine for increasing displacement. A cylinder replacement is performed by dismounting each of a pair of original cylinders from a crankcase. A pair of replacement cylinders are provided, each having a second cylinder bore diameter larger than a first cylinder bore diameter of the original cylinder to provide the V-twin engine with a second displacement greater than a first displacement of the original cylinder. A replacement spigot portion from each of the pair of replacement cylinders are aligned with a respective bore of the crankcase. The replacement spigot portion includes a second outer diameter larger than a first outer diameter of an original spigot portion. The second outer diameter of the replacement spigot portion and the crankcase bore diameter defining a subsequent diametric clearance smaller than an original diametric clearance of the original cylinders.

摘要: Systems and methods for heating a handgrip of a vehicle. One system includes a first handgrip including a first heating element and a first temperature sensor and a second handgrip including a second heating element and a second temperature sensor. The system further includes a polarity switching circuit configured to provide power, when active in a first polarity, to the second temperature sensor and provide power, when in a second polarity, to the second heating element. The system includes an electronic processor configured to receive, when the polarity switching circuit is active in the first polarity, a temperature signal from the second temperature sensor, compare the temperature signal to a predetermined threshold, and set, in response to the temperature signal failing to exceed the predetermined temperature threshold, the polarity switching circuit to the second polarity.
