摘要: An apparatus for controlling a vehicle includes a sensor to acquire a sound of another vehicle. The apparatus also includes a position acquiring device to acquire a moving path and an expected moving path of a host vehicle. The apparatus further includes one or more processors and memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to determine a driving state of the other vehicle based on at least one of the sound of the other vehicle, the moving path, or the expected moving path, or any combination thereof, determine a moving path of the other vehicle based on a driving state of the other vehicle, and control the host vehicle to avoid the moving path of the other vehicle.

摘要: According to one aspect, methods to select and implement a failover behavior based on situational awareness, when an autonomous vehicle enters a failover condition, are provided. Operation design domains, other users who share a road with the autonomous vehicle, and tailgaters may be considered when determining a deceleration profile, a trajectory length, and a trajectory type for the autonomous vehicle to follow when executing failover behavior. An autonomous driving system of an autonomous vehicle detects a failover event while the autonomous vehicle is traveling along a path and analyzes an environment surrounding the autonomous vehicle to determine whether a tailgater is present behind the autonomous vehicle. The autonomous driving system generates a failover plan for performing a failover behavior based on the failover event and the environment surrounding the autonomous vehicle and engages the autonomous vehicle to implement the failover plan for performing the failover behavior.

摘要: A vehicle computing system may implement techniques to determine relevance of objects detected in an environment to a vehicle operating in the environment. The techniques may include determining locations and trajectories associated with a detected object and generating simulations of movement (e.g., estimated states) of the detected object and the vehicle over a period of time. The vehicle computing system may compare locations, distances, and/or trajectories of the detected object and the vehicle in an estimated state to determine whether the detected object is relevant to the vehicle performing the action (e.g., impacts the vehicle's ability to safely perform the action). The relevance determination may be based in part on a semantic classification of the detected object. Based on a determination that the detected object is irrelevant to the vehicle in an estimated state, the vehicle computing device may disregard the detected object in future estimated states and/or future vehicle control planning considerations.

摘要: Vehicles may be associated with a variety of different types of events, including events associated with vehicle operations and/or events associated with vehicle passengers. The present disclosure is related to, when an event is detected, exchanging information with a vehicle passenger, such as via the passenger's mobile device and/or wearable device. In some instances, an event may be detected, and examples of the present disclosure may provide an application notification presenting various information. The notification may, in some examples, be configured to help the passenger locate the passenger device, to alert the passenger to the event, to provide instructions, and/or to provide a control interface for controlling a vehicle operation. In some examples, the notification may supersede operations of the passenger device, such as by being presented even if the device is in a locked state or has an unrelated application open and in the foreground.
