Abstract:
A method and apparatus for confirming attributes of media loaded in a media tray in an image production device is disclosed. The method may include determining which media tray of one or more media trays is being loaded with media using one or more media tray sensors, displaying a graphical representation of the media tray being loaded to a user on a user interface, prompting the user to enter and confirm attributes of the media being loaded into the media tray through the user interface, determining if confirmation has been received from the user interface, wherein if it is determined that the confirmation has been received from the user interface, storing the confirmed attributes for the determined media tray in a memory, and processing print jobs using the stored media tray attributes.
Abstract:
A method of dispersing animal waste includes providing an delivery article for holding a treatment agent, said article constructed and arranged with a source of pressurized gas that forces a treatment agent through an outlet of the delivery article and covers animal waste such that the physical pressure of liquid delivery combined with the chemical composition of the treatment agent is effective in dispersing animal waste.
Abstract:
Laser singulation of electronic devices from semiconductor substrates including wafers is performed using up to 3 lasers from 2 wavelength ranges. Using up to 3 lasers from 2 wavelength ranges permits laser singulation of wafers held by die attach film while avoiding problems caused by single-wavelength dicing. In particular, using up to 3 lasers from 2 wavelength ranges permits efficient dicing of semiconductor wafers while avoiding debris and thermal problems associated with laser processing die attach tape.
Abstract:
A modular heat exchange system having a refrigerant system for cycling a refrigerant through a compressor, a condenser, an expansion valve, and an evaporator, a heat source circulation system which circulates a heat exchange fluid between a heat source and the evaporator, a heat sink circulation system which circulates a heat absorption fluid between a heat sink and the condenser, a fluid management system having temperature gauges for respectively reading core temperatures of the heat source and the heat sink, and a thermal energy source from which thermal energy is transferred to the heat exchange fluid when the core temperature of the heat source falls below a threshold temperature while the core temperature of the heat sink is maintained at a constant temperature.
Abstract:
A modular heat exchange system having a refrigerant system for cycling a refrigerant through a compressor, a condenser, an expansion valve, and an evaporator, a heat source circulation system which circulates a heat exchange fluid, and a heat sink circulation system which circulates a heat absorption fluid, wherein the refrigerant cycles through the evaporator in a direction parallel relative to a direction of circulation of the heat exchange fluid flowing concurrently through the evaporator, and wherein the refrigerant flows through the condenser in a direction opposite relative to the circulation direction of the heat absorption fluid flowing concurrently through the condenser. In another aspect, the heat source circulation system includes a heat source and a fluid flow conduit connecting the heat source to the evaporator. In another aspect, the heat sink circulation system includes a heat sink and a hot fluid flow conduit connecting the heat sink to the condenser.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a central (root) directory and/or network of directories to linked credit accounts. Each linked credit account accepts, or is responsive to incoming payments or credits, without the need for access numbers, account numbers, routing numbers, or the like. The payment/deposit account may be set up as a deposit only account (e.g., it cannot pay out or be debited in the traditional sense). In this way, it can be effective in eliminating many of the security requirements of a traditional financial account.
Abstract:
Methods and systems are described for performing alternate routing of communications in a network. The system initiates a communication from an origination endpoint in a packet-switched network, such as a VOIP network, to a destination endpoint, and determining, according to selection criteria, whether to route the communication to the destination endpoint using at least a second circuit-switched network, such as the PSTN.
Abstract:
A hydraulic hybrid powertrain system for use with an earth mover of the present invention comprises a power plant generating a high pressure fluid at an output including a variable displacement pump and automated throttle control; an energy storage system; and a drive system. The power plant includes an engine driving a hydraulic pump/motor to generate the high pressure fluid. The hydraulic pump is preferably a variable displacement pump and the system includes an automated throttle control. Together these elements maintain the system fluid pressure. A cylinder is provided within the drive system for retarding the amount of the displacement within a displacement pump to maintain system pressure. The energy storage system is an accumulator.

Abstract:
A halogenated bisdiarylaminopolycyclic aromatic compound, polymers made therefrom, and polymeric light emitting diode devices using the polymers are described. The halogenated compound is represented by formula (I), wherein Ar and Ar′ are each independently substituted or unsubstituted aryl groups and Z is a polycyclic arylene group, wherein at least one of the Ar′ groups is a haloaryl group. Devices using polymers prepared from the halogenated compound exhibit improved performance and longer lifetime, presumably as a result of the presence of the geometrically constrained diarylaminopolycyclic aromatic groups in the polymer backbone.
