Abstract:
A toy vehicle and helmet combination includes a protective helmet suitable for wearing on a user's head. The helmet, which can be suitable for riding a bicycle, includes a rigid shell with an open bottom, an upper section with one or two slots formed therein, and a lower section extending around the open bottom. Pairs of holes can be formed in the lower section with the holes of each pair located in opposite sides of the lower section and substantially aligned. A toy body section with an upper body member is mounted on top of the shell and has one or two downwardly extending connecting members sized to extend through the slots in the shell. There are also toy wheels and shafts rotatably mounting same to the helmet.
Abstract:
Demolishing glazing at a distance uses a demolition ram comprising a pusher, a handle having proximal and distal ends, and fasteners connecting the handle at the distal end to the pusher. The demolishing comprises touching a subpane of the glazing with the pusher, pushing the subpane out of the glazing, and moving the subpane so that it can fall due to its weight, and then catching the falling subpane with a receptacle comprising a mat. The pushing comprises exerting a force about the proximal end, and generating an impulsive force onto the subpane by the exerting through the touching. The impulsive force is generally coaxial with the force of the exerting. The handle has a slenderness ratio of at least twenty-five and not more than one hundred ten that distances the exerting from the generating.
Abstract:
A demolition ram, for demolishing glazing, comprises a pusher and a handle connected at its distal end to the pusher. The pusher comprises a support plate, a rubber plating on the distal surface of the support plate, and a reinforcing flange and a boss on the proximal surface of the support plate. At least one handling aperture is through the pusher. The handle has a plate at its distal end. Fasteners removably connect the plate to the boss. A handle extension can be connected to the handle. The handle at its proximal end and the handle extension each comprises a generally textured surface. The demolishing comprises pushing a subpane out of the glazing with the demolition ram by exerting a force with the handle onto the subpane through the pusher. The subpane is then allowed to fall due to its weight, and is caught with a receptacle comprising a mat.
Abstract:
A mechanism for providing inventory information from distributed computing resources in an enterprise network in a manner that minimizes network traffic being sent from those computing resources to a centralized inventory server is provided. Bandwidth minimization is performed by generating a value corresponding to identifying information for each item inventoried on a computing resource and transmitting only those values to the inventory server. The generated value is shorter than a string containing the detailed information regarding the inventoried item, but is unique to that item. The inventory server then only requests more detailed information about an individual inventory item if a reported value has not previously been reported to the inventory server. In this manner, detailed information about a specific inventoried item is only transmitted through the network the first time that the item is inventoried and reported from any computer in the network. For any subsequent nodes reporting the same inventoried item, only the value is transmitted through the network and recorded within the inventory server. This avoids transmitting detailed information about each inventoried item for each computer during each computer report to an inventory server, thereby reducing network traffic.
Abstract:
A Job Monitor for providing printer recognition and management of a print job entity is described. The Job Monitor includes a repository of attributes and status associated with each print job that passes through the system. Interfaces to the Job Monitor provide the ability for components to process a job according to the unique requirements of the processing component, and report job attributes and processing status of the job to the Job Monitor for common access by other components. Each component has access to common variables and can present job attributes or status to its respective external interface according to the unique requirements dictated by the external interface. Additionally, internal job processing components interface with the Job Monitor to access and report current processing status. The common status repository provided by the Job Monitor is used by the Job Monitor and other components to control the sequence of processing within the printer.
Abstract:
A data security device for providing a network transport connection via a transparent network proxy that employs different encryption security mediums along a communications session between two endpoints by emulating one of the endpoints at an intermediate node such that the communication session appears as an atomic, secure connection to the endpoints yet provides appropriate security over the end-to-end connection. A sender node sends a connection request to establish a secure communication session with an intended receiver node. A transparent proxy on an intermediate node receives the request and establishes the link employing an encryption mechanism. The transparent proxy establishes a second link with the intended receiver, and applies a second, less expensive encryption mechanism. The transparent proxy combines the two links to form the trusted, secure connection but incurring only the mitigated expense over the second link.
Abstract:
A system and method for concurrently spooling and despooling print jobs, which allows print data associated with a print job to be despooled from storage at the same time that additional print data associated with the print job is spooled onto storage. Print jobs are received and storing of the print job is initiated. The portion of the print data that has been stored is concurrently read from the storage device, and sent to the print engine, thereby allowing the print job to be printed as the print job is being stored onto the storage device.
Abstract:
A method for implementing a weight loss program is provided. The diet meal provider educates a health care professional about a diet meal plan or a dietary aid. The health care professional may recommend the plan to his or her patient who need to loose weight. Based on such recommendation, the patient will subscribe to receive the diet meal plan or the dietary which are supplied to the patient by the diet meal provider.
Abstract:
An impeller assembly including a pair of plates with one of the plates having a plurality of blades and an interlock structure for aligning and coupling the plates together. A disclosed example of the interlock structure includes a plurality of latch members extending from one plate and locking into apertures of the other plate. The interlock structure may also include a plurality of channels engaging the blades. The blades of the impeller may engage a pair of latch members in a saddle manner. A method of using the impeller assembly within an air blower is also disclosed.
Abstract:
A urinal comprises a first chamber including a first opening, a second opening and a one-way valve controlling flow through the second opening. The urinal further comprises a second chamber housing the one-way valve and a fitting for coupling to a device for collecting urine.
