摘要： Methods and systems for network-based or Internet-based software delivery are described. In one embodiment, an application program or software platform resides on a client. The program or platform is configured so that it is extensible based on software extensions that are deliverable over a network such as the Internet. In the described embodiment, extension files that comprise a software extension are hosted on an Internet server. Additional files are also hosted on the Internet server and describe aspects of the software extension. Extensions are incorporated on a client by navigating to a particular Internet site through which the extensions can be accessed. The files describing the extension files are downloaded on the client. The extension files are then downloaded and incorporated into the program or platform.

摘要： A high voltage switch, including: first and second electrodes having electrode surfaces; an electrically non conductive tube having an outer surface connecting the electrode surfaces; an electrically non conductive wall surrounding the tube and forming an enclosure in which the electrode surfaces and the outer tube surface are sealed; an ionizable material in the enclosure, an electric field being created in the enclosure responsive to application of a high voltage potential across the electrodes; and, an electrically conductive member adapted for movement in the tube between a first position substantially inside the enclosure and a second position substantially outside the enclosure, the electrically conductive member distorting the electric field when moved into the first position and causing an ionized current flow path between the electrode surfaces. A plurality of such switches can be ganged for simultaneous and/or sequential operation.

摘要： A sense amplifier charging circuit can work with different power supply voltages (EVCC). When EVCC is high, a signal generated from EVCC disables some of the charging transistors to reduce the circuit noise. When EVCC is low, the signal generated from EVCC enables the transistors thus increasing the circuit speed.

摘要： A dynamic random access memory generates an internal power supply voltage IVCC. IVCC is lower in magnitude than the external power supply voltage EVCC. During a read operation, the sense amplifiers are powered from EVCC while the bit lines charge to their output levels. Then the sense amplifiers stop being powered from EVCC and begin being powered from IVCC to maintain the bit lines at their output levels. A timer defines the time that the sense amplifiers are powered from EVCC. This time depends inversely on EVCC. The timer includes a transistor connected between EVCC and an input of the inverter. The time that the sense amplifiers are powered from EVCC is defined by the time that the input of the inverter charges to the trip point of the inverter.

摘要： An optical display system for a craft navigation simulator providing a wide angle display of greater than 3:1 width/height format derived from a closed circuit television camera viewing a terrain model. A wide-angle scene viewed is divided into three or more parts at vertical boundaries all of which are off-center and folded by a first optical system into substantially square format, in which format the composite image is processed from camera tube to display tube. A second optical system reconstructs the original wide angle image. By this means, high definition of the image in the center region and, particularly, near the horizon, is maintained.
