Abstract:
An optical lens is provided. The optical lens provides miniaturization and thin size, and reduces the cost and improves productivity by simplifying the structure and manufacturing process. The optical lens includes a light-transmitting substrate with a lens chamber and a fluidic chamber that are connected with each other. The optical lens also includes a light-transmitting elastic film which seals the lens chamber, a buffer elastic film which seals the fluidic chamber, and an actuator on the buffer elastic film which corresponds to the fluidic chamber, and varies the volume of the fluidic chamber to vary a pressure acting on the light-transmitting elastic film.
Abstract:
A micro-element package which can reduce manufacturing costs and can be advantageous for mass production due to simplifying its structure and manufacturing process, and also can facilitate miniaturization and promote thinness, and a method of manufacturing the micro-element package. The micro-element package includes: a substrate having a micro-element on its top surface and a comparatively thin surrounding portion provided around the micro-element; and a circuit board that is electrically connected to the micro-element by utilizing the surrounding portion as a medium.
Abstract:
A method of manufacturing a micro-element package which can reduce a manufacturing cost and improve productivity by simplifying its structure and manufacturing process, and also can make contributions to miniaturization and thinness, and the micro-element package are provided. The method of the micro-element package including: providing a substrate having a micro-element on its top surface and a transparent cover having a groove on its bottom surface; attaching the transparent cover on the substrate, wherein the bottom surface of the transparent cover where the groove is formed faces the micro-element; exposing the groove by selectively eliminating the transparent cover; and dicing the substrate along the exposed groove.
Abstract:
A terminal device displays a messenger window by executing a messenger program. The terminal device includes a messenger window generation unit for generating and displaying a messenger window on a screen by executing a predetermined messenger program, a printing option setting unit for displaying a printing option setting menu for setting printing options of conversation messages displayed on the messenger window, an editing unit for editing the conversation messages according to the printing option set through the printing option setting menu, and a printer driver unit for converting the edited conversation messages to a print file interpretable by a predetermined printer and transmitting the print file to the printer. Accordingly, the conversation messages can be edited and printed through the messenger window.
Abstract:
There is provided a packaging unit for an optical fiber array using a planar lightwave circuit (PLC). An optical fiber array is fixed within a housing. The housing has first and second slots formed to face each other on the side periphery, and each of the first and second slots has opened ends to make the inner and outer walls of the housing communicate with each other. An optical fiber of the optical fiber array is inserted through first and second boots and then the first and second boots are inserted in the first and second slots of the housing.
Abstract:
A flexible image photographing apparatus includes a plurality of image photographing units to photograph a photographing object. A flexible body receives the plurality of image photographing units and may be transformed when a force is applied. A control portion is disposed at the flexible body to control each of the plurality of image photographing units to photograph the photographing object. The control portion stores images of the photographing object and performs various kinds of photography.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method for printing by using a toolbar button is provided. The apparatus includes a user interface for receiving printing options to be selected by using the toolbar button, and a controller for creating the toolbar button to allow a user to print the file based on a selected printing option and inserting the created toolbar button into a host application. Accordingly, the user can print the file by setting a desired printer and printing option by using the toolbar button without using an additional user interface.
Abstract:
A pattern projecting apparatus usable with a three-dimensional imaging apparatus includes a light generator which emits a light beam, and a pattern adjusting unit disposed in front of the light generator. The pattern adjusting unit forms a projection pattern on an object, and adjusts a focus of the light beam emitted from the light generator.
Abstract:
A wafer-level lens module with an extended depth of field (EDF) and an imaging device including the wafer-level lens module are provided. The wafer-level EDF lens module includes a plurality of wafer-scale lenses stacked with fixed distances therebetween. The plurality of wafer-scale lenses includes an effective lens having a profile which satisfies a corrected optimized aspheric function, wherein a profile of a center region of the effective lens is optimized for an infinity-focused image and a profile of an edge region of the effective lens is optimized for a macro-focused image.
Abstract:
A variable-focus liquid lens is provided. The liquid lens includes a membrane and a fluid. The membrane is made of a transparent elastomer, and the fluid fills a predetermined space to contact at least a lens surface of the membrane. The membrane and the fluid are respectively made of materials repulsive to each other, for example, hydrophilic and hydrophobic materials or oleophilic and oleophobic materials. Accordingly, a repulsive force between the fluid and the membrane can prevent the absorption or leaking of the fluid into/through the membrane.
