A non-contact type memory device storing information, for example, given when producing the cartridge is provided in a reel of at least one of upper and lower flanges of a tape reel or on a surface facing to the tape winding surface of the body in the cartridge accommodating the tape reel wound with the tape, or in a recessed portion formed in at least one of a bottom surface of the lower half and an upper surface of a slider or in the slider in the cartridge having the slider, or in a transparent window of the body. A part of at least one of the upper and lower halves that corresponds to the memory device may be notched. The memory device may be welded together when fitting other members.

摘要： A magnetic tape cassette, such as a high performance video cassette, having a greatly improved dust-proofing function. In a first embodiment, operating portions of brake members which engage a brake release lever which is inserted into the cassette at the time of recording or reproduction to release the braking system of the cassette are formed in an inverted cup shape so as to close the hole through which the brake release lever is inserted and to contain the end of the brake release lever when inserted into the hole. In a second embodiment, separate engagement and abutment portions are provided for each brake portion so as to prevent inadvertent opening of the hole if the tape reels are moved during storage. In a third embodiment, the dust-blocking member takes the form of a slitted flexible sheet member covering the hole when the cassette is not in use.

摘要： A magnetic recording tape cassette comprises a pair of hubs around which a magnetic recording tape is wound and which are accommodated in a casing. The casing is provided with an access opening through which the magnetic recording tape is drawn out for recording or reproduction and a lid member supported for rotation between a closed position in which it closes the access opening and an open position in which it opens the same by way of a pair of pivots which are formed on opposite ends of the lid member and are rotatably received in respective holes formed in the walls of the casing perpendicular to the access opening. At least one of the pivots is provided with a slit extending along the longitudinal axis thereof. The hole or holes for receiving the pivot provided with the slit are arranged to support the pivot at three points.
