Abstract: Systems and methods related to improved program guide are provided. In one example, a method includes: receiving a first user request for browsing a program guide for digital programs on a client device, transmitting data corresponding to the program guide to the client device, and displaying the program guide in a user interface. The program guide includes multiple program preview boards, and each program preview board corresponds to a digital program or a recorded digital program and includes information related to the digital program or the recorded digital program. The method further includes providing a first selectable option for the user to enable or disable a first spoiler prevention feature and enabling or disabling the first spoiler prevention feature based on the user's selection. The first spoiler prevention feature is configured to hide a part of the information related to the digital program in the corresponding program preview.

Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to systems and methods for multimodal transition among devices connected to a plurality of different networks. A device may be presenting a multimedia item in a first mode (e.g., an audiovisual mode) on a first device. A transition event may occur, prompting the systems and methods described herein to initiate a transition request to transition the multimedia item from a first device to a second device. The second device may be analyzed to determine the constraints of the device (e.g., storage, hardware/software, connectivity strength, etc.). The first mode of the multimedia item may also be analyzed. Based on the analysis of the multimedia item in the first mode and the second device, the multimedia item may be converted from a first mode to a second mode (e.g., an audio-only mode of the multimedia item) and subsequently displayed on the second device.

Abstract: Content is received from a content origin and includes a first I frame occurring in the content at an actual start time of an ad segment. The content includes an ad marker comprising an indicated start time of an available segment, and the actual start time is within a predetermined period of the indicated start time. The ad marker is updated to set the indicated start time equal to the actual start time. The predetermined period may be within 0.5 seconds of the indicated start time. A second I frame may be detected in the content, and a signature may be generated for content at the time of the first I frame. The first I frame corresponds to the actual start time in response to the first I frame occurring before the second I frame and in response to the signature matching a signature of a known ad.

Abstract: The present invention recognizes media content using signatures generated by network devices with limited processing power. An audio signal is prepared for application of a discrete Fourier transform (DFT). Outputs from the DFT include real components and imaginary components that are used to calculate output magnitudes associated with frequency bins. The frequency-amplitude pairs include the output magnitudes and the associated frequency bins. A signature of the audio signal is generated by selecting a predetermined number of frequency-amplitude pairs having dominant output magnitudes. The network devices that generate the signatures may transmit the signatures to a server for analysis. The server may trigger actions in response to detecting known content based on the received signatures matching known signatures.

Abstract: Examples of the present disclosure describe systems and methods for locating an optimal installation location for an over-the-air (OTA) antenna. In some example aspects, the system described herein may receive a list of preferred local channels and/or programs from a user. The system may then compare those channels and/or programs to at least one database that comprises channel frequencies based on a user's geolocation (e.g., GPS coordinates, address, zip code, etc.). Based on the comparison of the preferred channels and/or programs, the system may suggest a certain installation location of an OTA antenna. The system may evaluate broadcast signals received by the OTA antenna to determine the strength of the signals at the present OTA antenna location. The results of the channel feedback analysis may be displayed in real-time (or near real-time) on a mobile device, indicating to the user if the present location is an optimal installation location.

Abstract: A digital service evaluation system evaluates services and user sessions provided by a service, to provide an overall score of the service. The digital service evaluation system detects client sessions associated with one or more devices. The digital service evaluation system obtains a first plurality of scores associated with performance metrics of the client session, and calculates an overall score for the client session. The digital service evaluation system obtains a second plurality of scores and calculates a second overall score. The digital service evaluation system determines a weight for each performance metric based on the first and second plurality of scores and the overall scores. The digital service evaluation system uses the weights to determine which performance metric caused a change in the overall scores. The digital service evaluation system takes an action based on the determination that a performance metric caused a change in the overall scores.
