摘要： A book scanner comprises a transparent platen, a carriage and a housing. The carriage is disposed in the housing, and the transparent platen with an angular structure is disposed on the housing for an original placed to be scanned. The carriage has a strip-shaped light tube disposed corresponding to the transparent platen. The part of the light source that has the highest luminance is disposed in the position farthest away from the transparent platen, while the part of the light source that has the lower luminance is disposed in the position closer to the transparent platen to assure a uniform and stable luminous intensity of light on each scan line when the light source illuminates the original.

摘要： A calibration mechanism for an optical module of a sheet-fed scanner is disclosed. The calibration mechanism includes a calibration strip and a driving unit. The calibration strip is moved by the driving unit, and the calibration strip may be moved relative to the optical module for calibrating color depth. The driving unit includes a roller and a flexible strip. One end of the flexible strip is mounted to the roller, and the calibration strip is mounted or formed on the flexible strip. The flexible strip is moved by the roller action so that the calibration strip is moved relative to the optical module, and the optical module may accordingly calibrate the color depth.

摘要： A calibration mechanism of a scanner includes a second light source, a calibration element having an opening, a first light source and a scanning module. The second light source is assembled with the calibration element, and the first light source is disposed at a position opposite to the calibration element. During the shading correction, the calibration element is rotated by an angle so that the first light source illuminates on a surface of the calibration element, and the reflected light enters the scanning module. When a transmissive original is being scanned, the light of the second light source passes through the opening of the calibration element and the transmissive original, and then enters the scanning module.

摘要： An automatic document feeder capable of sorting originals is electrically connected to a scan-sorting unit. The scan-sorting unit scans, one by one, front sides of the originals fed by the automatic document feeder to obtain a plurality of original image signals, and sorts, one by one, the original image signals to output a plurality of sorting signals. The automatic document feeder includes a sheet input tray, a sheet output module and a sheet-feeding mechanism. The sheet-feeding mechanism feeds the originals from the sheet input tray to the sheet output module. The sheet output module is configured to sort the originals into a plurality of original groups placed in the sheet output module according to the sorting signals.

摘要： In a printing device capable of increasing a printing speed, a sheet-feeding mechanism selectively feeds to-be-printed sheets placed in a longitudinal tray and a transversal tray. A memory stores a transversal maximum printing dimension corresponding to a printing unit. A processor receives a printing signal containing first and second dimensions. The processor judges whether or not a maximum of the first dimension and the second dimension is smaller than or equal to the transversal maximum printing dimension. If yes, the processor enables the sheet-feeding mechanism to feed the to-be-printed sheet placed in the transversal tray. The processor further judges whether or not the first dimension is smaller than the second dimension. If yes, the processor rotates a printing content corresponding to the printing signal by 90 degrees and then outputs a rotated content to the printing unit. If not, the processor directly outputs the printing signal to the printing unit.

When the first sheet is fed to the third passageway, a second sheet is fed to the first passageway in the duplex mode. In a simplex mode, the mechanism feeds the first sheet from the sheet input tray to the sheet output ray successively through the first passageway and the temporary tray, and the first sheet falls from the temporary tray to the sheet output tray.

摘要： An automatic paper feeder uses a paper guide with two separate lower blades for feeding the paper past a scan window. The separate blades provide smooth passage of the paper over the scan window and avoiding rubbing the scan window surface. When the paper feeding mechanism is used both for automatic paper feeding scanning and for flat-fed scanning, the image sensor position is changed for the two applications, because the former scan window lies over the larger scan window for flat bed scanning and the elevations of the scanned papers for the two situations are different. The vertical position of the image sensor can be changed to maintain equal distance between the scan surface and the image sensor.

摘要： A transparent film scanner having a light source with a diffuser and a reflector includes a light source for generating a primary light that is diffused by a diffuser to obtain a more uniform secondary light. The secondary light source is then reflected by a reflector to produce a tertiary light for illuminating the film. With a diffused secondary light, the distance between the reflector and the film can be reduced, thus reducing the size of the scanner.
