    摘要: An adjustable reflector device is disclosed. The device consists of an adjustable double parabolic reflective skin with an adjustable lamp mount, incorporating a V-shaped perforated heat shield, attached. The two part reflective skin forms a double parabolic shape when flexed back against a reinforced spine. This flexible shape is secured by lengthwise adjustable chain retainers attached a both ends of the skin. The lamp mount slides onto a pair of threaded bolts secured to the skin and adjustment is achieved by tightening or loosening the appropriate nuts. The heat shield slides onto the lamp fitting and is positioned appropriately to deflect incident heat and light. This device can be used to provide variable conditions of artificial illumination.

    摘要: 9A light emitting diode (LED) lighting device includes a concave mirror and a convex mirror having a diameter less than a diameter of the concave mirror. The convex mirror is positioned to face the concave mirror and is fixed to the concave mirror. An LED array is fixed to the concave mirror between the concave mirror and the convex mirror. The LED array faces the convex mirror such that light emitted by the LED array reflects off of the convex mirror. A power supply is provided for powering the LED array. Light emitted by the LED array is reflected from the convex mirror onto the concave mirror, and then reflected by the concave mirror to exit the lighting device.

    摘要: A vehicular lamp having an improved luminous intensity of reflected light that has passed through a tinted topcoat layer. Light emitted from a light source bulb is reflected by a reflector to form an outward beam. The reflector is formed of an effective reflector portion contributing to formation of the outward beam and a non-effective reflector portion not contributing to formation of the outward beam. Only the non-effective reflector portion or only the non-effective reflector portion and an extension portion are coated with a tinted topcoat layer. The particle diameter of pigments dispersed in the tinted topcoat layer is limited to a certain range.

    摘要: The luminaire comprises a concave reflector (1) with an optical center (2) on an optical main axis (3), in an optical main plane (4). A screen (6) extends along the main axis (3) up to a light emission window (5). A panel (7) extends at a first side of the main plane (4) from the screen (6) up to the light emission window (5). The reflector (1) includes a first, faceted reflector portion (10) at the first side of the main plane (4), which extends towards the main plane (4), and which may be parabolically curved, the optical center (2) being its focus and the main axis (3) being its axis. A second, faceted reflector portion (20) is present at the other side of the main plane (4) and may be parabolically curved, which reflector portion has a side axis (22) passing through the optical center (2), and a focus lying in the optical center (2). The side axis (22) is tilted, with respect to the main axis (3), through acute angles in the main plane (4) and out of said main plane (4). The luminaire provides a screened-off light beam which is asymmetrical in horizontal planes as well as in vertical planes, as a result of which said luminaire can suitably be used to illuminate highways in the oncoming-traffic direction.

    摘要: An illumination method and apparatus for machine-vision systems, including a ring-light source (e.g., LEDs arranged in one or more circular rows), and a reflective-ring focusing element. The illumination source exhibits multi-directional ring-illumination properties which are useful for illumination of small components (which are being inspected or measured) without unwanted shadows. One embodiment provides a darkfield illumination system. One embodiment of the present invention uses a strobed (or pulsed) power supply to drive the LEDs. Yet another embodiment of the present invention uses a xenon strobe ring-light source and a backplane slit in place of the row of LEDs 25. In one such xenon strobe embodiment, a color filter, is also placed in series with the light path in order to obtain a monochromatic light. While xenon flashtube light sources tend to exhibit a five percent (5%) flash-to-flash variation in intensity which makes accurate measurements of certain characteristics difficult, they are useful in certain cases where intense white, or especially ultraviolet, light is desired. Strobed LEDs provide very little flash-to-flash variation in intensity. The compact ring-light generator has little, if any, shadowing. The present invention also provides an inexpensive apparatus and method for changing the light-source-to-optical-axis angle.
