Abstract: A surface light source assembly includes at least one light emitting element and a light guide plate. Each light emitting element has an annular light emitting side surface. The light guide plate has a bottom surface and a light emission surface opposite to each other. The bottom surface has at least one accommodation groove to accommodate the at least one light emitting element. The accommodation groove has a light incident surface. The light incident surface surrounds the annular light emitting side surface of the light emitting element located in the accommodation groove. The light emission surface of the light guide plate is a convex surface. A backlight module having a plurality of above light source assemblies is also provided. The surface light source assembly and the backlight module of the invention can enhance the luminance uniformity and suppress the light leakage at the edge of the light guide plate.

Abstract: An electro-optical apparatus including an electronic apparatus and at least one light-emitting module is provided. The electronic apparatus has a containing area. The light-emitting module is disposed in the containing area and includes at least one light-emitting element, a taper light guide element, and a strip light guide element. The light-emitting element emits at least one beam. The taper light guide element is disposed on the transmission path of the beam and has a first end and a second end opposite to each other. The taper light guide element tapers off from the first end toward the second end. The first end is adjacent to the light-emitting element. The strip light guide element is disposed on the transmission path of the beam from the taper light guide element. The second end is adjacent to the strip light guide element. Abstract: A display device includes a backlight module generating an emitting light having a first light distribution pattern, a switchable single-axis diffuser and a display panel. The first light distribution pattern has a light intensity exceeding a predetermined value within a first view angle range in a first direction. When the switchable single-axis diffuser is switched to a transparent mode, the emitting light passes through the switchable single-axis diffuser and maintains the first light distribution pattern. When the switchable single-axis diffuser is switched to a diffusion mode, the emitting light passes through the switchable single-axis diffuser and converts to a second light distribution pattern having the luminous intensity exceeding the predetermined value within a range of a second view angle in a first direction. The second view angle range is larger than the first view angle range.

Abstract: A viewing angle control device including at least one liquid crystal panel, at least one compensation film and polarizers is provided. Each of the at least one liquid crystal panel includes two transparent conductive layers and liquid crystal molecules. The polarizers include at least one first polarizer and a second polarizer. The at least one first polarizer is located between the at least one compensation film and the at least one liquid crystal panel. The second polarizer is located at a side of the at least one liquid crystal panel, the at least one compensation film and the at least one first polarizer. When there is no potential difference between the transparent conductive layers, an optical axis of each of the liquid crystal molecules is parallel or vertical to a transmission axis of the at least one first polarizer. A viewing angle controllable display apparatus is also provided.
