Abstract: Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, obtaining first quality-of-service (QoS) information associated with a first communication session between a first communication device and a radio element of a wireless network, the first communication session comprising a first communication that is transmitted from the first communication device to the radio element; determining, based at least in part upon the first QoS information, whether the first communication is to be processed by one or more first servers of an edge node of a packet core network, the determining resulting in a first determination; responsive to the first determination being that the first communication is to be processed by the one or more first servers of the edge node, directing the first communication from the radio element to the edge node, the directing of the first communication to the edge node facilitating a providing of a first latency to the first communication; and responsive to the first determination being that the first communication is not to be processed by the one or more first servers of the edge node, directing the first communication from the radio element to one or more second servers of another node of the packet core network, the directing of the first communication to the another node facilitating a providing of a second latency to the first communication. Abstract: Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, determining whether a past throughput of past traffic communicated between a communication device and a communication network meets a first threshold value, resulting in a first determination; responsive to the first determination being that the past throughput meets the first threshold, transmitting an instruction to the communication device to restrict a first subsequent throughput of first subsequent traffic to no greater than a second threshold value; determining whether the first subsequent throughput has been restricted, resulting in a second determination; and responsive to the second determination being that the first subsequent throughput has not been restricted, taking one or more actions to enforce a second subsequent throughput of second subsequent traffic to no greater than a third threshold value, wherein the third threshold value is lower than the second threshold value. In another embodiment, sharing a network access credential can be between a remote computing device and a mobile device. Sharing a credential can allow for access to a network without having to generate or input new credentials.

Abstract: Techniques for facilitating cellular or wireless fidelity access point selection are provided. In one example herein a method is provided comprising receiving, by a mobile device comprising a processor, first radio load data associated with a predicted radio load of a first channel of a first wireless device. Based on a first condition associated with the first radio load being determined to have been satisfied, the method can facilitate, by the mobile device, receiving second radio load data, indicative of a current radio load, from a second wireless device. Additionally, in response to a second condition associated with the current radio load being determined to have been satisfied, the method can utilize, by the mobile device, a second channel of the second wireless device for a communication.

The set of rules are loaded into the network device. The network device receives from the user device a request to access a specified URL. A determination is made at the network device whether the specified URL is in the user selected set of rules. If the specified URL is in the user selected set of rules, then the specified URL is blocked.
