摘要: A user interface device including a floating actuator sub-assembly and a base assembly flexibly coupled to the floating actuator assembly is disclosed. The floating actuator assembly may include a magnet array assembly with a plurality of magnets fixed relative to each other. The user interface device may further include a deformable actuator sub-assembly, which may include a magnet array assembly with a plurality of magnets in a movable configuration relative to each other. A base assembly may include multi-axis magnetic sensors corresponding to the magnets in the magnet arrays to sense position of motion of the magnets during user displacements and/or deformation of actuator elements of the user interface device.

摘要: Coherent and compact supercontinuum light sources for the mid IR spectral regime and exemplary applications are disclosed based on the use highly nonlinear fibers or waveguides. In at least one embodiment the coherence of the supercontinuum sources is increased using nonlinear material with an elevated vibrational contribution to the nonlinear response function. Compact supercontinuum light sources can be constructed with the use of passively mode locked fiber or diode lasers. Wavelength tunable sources can be constructed using appropriate optical filters or frequency conversion sections.

摘要: A man-portable locator system for locating buried or otherwise inaccessible pipes, conduits, cables, wires and inserted transmitters using detector arrays and stochastic signal processing and similar techniques to analyze and display multiple target objects at differing frequencies in a layered user interface (UI). For example, the locator UI may be adapted to present a target plurality sorted by proximity of target conductor to the locator operator together with other useful information specifying the multiple objects, frequencies and changes in the subterranean landscape by means of a useful combination of graphical, numeric and acoustic representations.

摘要: A portable self-standing electromagnetic (EM) field sensing locator system with attachments for finding and mapping buried objects such as utilities and with intuitive graphical user interface (GUI) displays. Accessories include a ground penetrating radar (GPR) system with a rotating Tx/Rx antenna assembly, a leak detection system, a multi-probe voltage mapping system, a man-portable laser-range finder system with embedded dipole beacon and other detachable accessory sensor systems are accepted for attachment to the locator system for simultaneous operation in cooperation with the basic locator system. The integration of the locator system with one or more additional devices, such as fault-finding, geophones and conductance sensors, facilitates the rapid detection and localization of many different types of buried objects.

摘要: This patent application is for a method and system that takes any arbitrary pre-existing geometric data and builds ISO 19107 compliant 3-Dimensional (3D) topology rather than requiring an incremental build of the topology. In accordance with at least one embodiment of the present invention, a method for integrating a three-dimensional feature geometry into a three-dimensional topology in a database includes adding a three-dimensional feature geometry into a table in a database; passing the three-dimensional feature geometry to a three-dimensional topology engine and a cache; performing a spatial refinement to determine a number of topology primitives in an existing three-dimensional geometry in the database that are near to topology primitives of the three-dimensional feature geometry; obtaining a number of relevant nearby spatial topology primitives in the geometries using a spatial search; performing an interaction refinement to determine a precise set of the number of relevant nearby topology primitives in the geometries that have spatial interactions; determining a common section of each topology primitive in the number of relevant nearby topology primitives that have spatial interactions; validating that the three-dimensional feature geometry fits into the three-dimensional topology table using a plurality of rules; and saving the validated three-dimensional feature geometry in the database.

摘要: A photoconductive member for use in a single pass multi-color printing machine is disclosed. The photoconductive member is composed of an inter seam zone having a physical seam. The inter seam zone includes one of a plurality of image-on-image registration marks respective to a particular color latent image formed on the photoconductive member in a single pass. A plurality of interdocument zones is also included on the photoconductive member wherein process control marks are formed. While the inter seam zone is used for monitoring color-to-color registration, the process control marks are monitored to adjust the timing of the printing machine so that copy media synchronizes with an asynchronous placement of the images on the photoconductive member. A single pass, multi-color electrophotographic printing machine architecture uses a vertically oriented photoconductive belt. Transfer of the toner powder images occur at the lowermost portion of the photoconductive belt. The photoconductive belt is elliptically shaped, having a major and a minor axis. N image recording stations are positioned adjacent an exterior surface of the photoconductive belt on one side of the major axis thereof. N−1 image recording stations are positioned adjacent the exterior surface of the photoconductive belt on the other side of the major axis thereof. The image recording stations record electrostatic latent images on the photoconductive belt. This architecture optimizes image registration while minimizing the overall height of the printing machine.
