    摘要: Aspects of the disclosure provide unbiased channel equalization applied in a MIMO OFDM system with spatial multiplexing. According to certain embodiments, a MMSE receiver can be implemented with the QR decomposition (QRMMSE detection) instead of direct inversion of channel matrix by exploiting an augmented channel matrix. A simple and efficient bias removal technique is presented herein, whereby unbiased QRMMSE equalization may provide identical detection accuracy as a conventional unbiased MMSE approach. For certain embodiments, multiple access interference may be further reduced if the VBLAST version of the unbiased QRMMSE detection is applied.

    摘要: Methods and apparatus are provided for increasing throughput in a wireless communication system by reducing the amount of overhead transmitted to certain user terminals. Overhead due to control information may be reduced for these certain user terminals by selecting a low repetition factor. Overhead may be further reduced for these certain user terminals by selecting a modulation/coding scheme with a higher data rate for transmitting the control information. The selection may be based on channel conditions associated with the user terminals, such as signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratios (SINRs).

The antenna circuit includes a dielectric substrate having a first surface, a radiating stub on the first surface of the dielectric substrate, and a first ground plate on the first surface of the dielectric substrate to couple to ground. The first ground plate includes one or more grounded capacitive stubs spaced apart from the radiating stub. The one or more grounded capacitive stubs tune performance parameters for the antenna circuit.

    摘要: A method and apparatus for channel estimation in wireless communications are provided. After an initial channel estimation and an estimation of the effective channel length (ECL) are performed, a weighting based on the ECL may be applied in an effort to remove noise from the initial channel estimate and provide an estimated channel with increased accuracy. Different weightings may apply for different channel lengths. A threshold may be used during the ECL estimation, and the threshold may be predetermined or calculated in an effort to adapt to different channel environments.
