摘要: The present disclosure is a novel utility of a software defined radio (SDR) based Distributed Antenna System (DAS) that is field reconfigurable and support multi-modulation schemes (modulation-independent), multi-carriers, multi-frequency bands and multi-channels. The present invention enables a high degree of flexibility to manage, control, enhance, facilitate the usage and performance of a distributed wireless network such as Flexible Simulcast, automatic traffic load-balancing, network and radio resource optimization, network calibration, autonomous/assisted commissioning, carrier pooling, automatic frequency selection, frequency carrier placement, traffic monitoring, traffic tagging, pilot beacon, etc. As a result, a DAS in accordance with the present invention can increase the efficiency and traffic capacity of the operators' wireless network.

The method further comprises computing a de-inter-carrier interference (ICI) filter based on the PT-RS and a channel estimate using a convolutional matrix CR of the received signal Rk and applying the de-ICI filter to the received signal Rk to generate a de-ICI filtered signal.

摘要: An efficient baseband predistortion linearization method for reducing the spectral regrowth and compensating memory effects in wideband communication systems using effective multiplexing modulation technique such as wideband code division multiple access and orthogonal frequency division multiplexing is disclosed. The present invention is based on the method of piecewise pre-equalized lookup table based predistortion, which is a cascade of a lookup table predistortion and piecewise pre-equalizers.

摘要: Directive gain antenna elements implemented with an aperture-fed patch array antenna assembly are described. A feed network for the aperture-fed patch array may include offset apertures and may also include meandering feed lines. Scalable aperture shapes and orientations that can be used with antennas operating at any frequency and with dual orthogonal polarizations are also disclosed. Directive gain antenna elements implemented with arrays of orthogonal reflected dipoles are also described with optimal feed networks and parasitic elements to achieve desired directive gain characteristics. Such arrayed dipole antennas feature dual orthogonal polarizations with assembly tabs that lower cost and improve reliability. Backhaul radios that incorporate said antennas are also disclosed.

摘要: The present disclosure provides a multi-carrier time-division multiplexing (MC-TDMA) modulation and demodulation method and system. Before multi-carrier modulation is performed on an input symbol, an interleaving allocation and an FFT may be performed, a time domain symbol may be transformed into a frequency domain symbol signal to perform a MDFT treatment. A sending end may adopt an analyzing filter bank structure, and pre-filtering and an IFFT may be performed on a signal successively. A pre-filter may be positioned between an NM point FFT and an M point IFFT, a PAPR value of the system may be reduced using the symmetry of a coefficient of a filter, and a frequency domain symbol signal may be allocated to different sub-bands for multi-carrier modulation.

The method further includes modulating the data onto the subset of tones based on a mapping, wherein the mapping maps pairs of data values with a largest Hamming distance from each other to pairs of constellation points with a maximum Euclidean distance from each other.

摘要: A method and apparatus for efficient precoding matrix verification in a multiple-input multiple-output MIMO wireless communication system are disclosed. A wireless transmit/receive unit WTRU sends a precoding matrix index PMI to an eNodeB. The eNodeB sends a verification message including a PMI indicator indicating whether or not the PMI of the WTRU and a PMI of the eNodeB are identical. If the PMI of the WTRU and of the eNodeB are identical, the eNodeB sends just a PMI indicator otherwise the eNodeB sends to the WTRU a PMI indicator and the PMI of the eNodeB. A plurality of PMIs may be sent simultaneously, and the PMIs may be partitioned into a plurality of groups. The PMI indicator may be either attached to or inserted into control signaling. PMI validation messages can be signaled to WTRU by control signaling or use of a dedicated reference signal.

摘要: An orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM)-code division multiple access (CDMA) system is disclosed. The system includes a transmitter and a receiver. At the transmitter, a spreading and subcarrier mapping unit spreads an input data symbol with a complex quadratic sequence code to generate a plurality of chips and maps each chip to one of a plurality of subcarriers. An inverse discrete Fourier transform is performed on the chips mapped to the subcarriers and a cyclic prefix (CP) is inserted to an OFDM frame. A parallel-to-serial converter converts the time-domain data into a serial data stream for transmission. At the receiver, a serial-to-parallel converter converts received data into multiple received data streams and the CP is removed from the received data. A discrete Fourier transform is performed on the received data streams and equalization is performed. A despreader despreads an output of the equalizer to recover the transmitted data.

A plurality of angle values associated with the one or more spatial or space-time streams and the one or more OFDM tones of the plurality of OFDM tones are determined. For each of the one or more spatial or space time streams, a per-tone signal to noise ratio (PT-SNR) associated with one or more OFDM tone of the plurality of OFDM tones is determined, and an average signal to noise ratio (avg-SNR) is determined by averaging signal to noise ratio (SNR) values corresponding to one or more OFDM tones of the plurality of OFDM tones. A feedback report is generated to include at least i) the plurality of angle values, ii) the PT-SNRs, and iii) the avg-SNR.
