Abstract: In a control apparatus, a voltage obtainer obtains an alternating-current voltage having a polarity across first and second alternating-current terminals. An overcurrent determiner determines whether a target current flowing through the first and second alternating-current terminals is in an overcurrent state. A controller alternately turns on a first set of first and fourth switches and a second set of second and third switches in accordance with the polarity of the alternating-current voltage. The controller changes a switching operation of at least one of the first to fourth switch being in an on state to thereby reduce the target current flowing through the first and second alternating-current terminals upon determination that the target current flowing through the first and second alternating-current terminals is in the overcurrent state.

Abstract: A control apparatus includes: an operation prediction section that predicts that equipment will shift from an operation stopped state to an operating state; and a supply control section that, if it is not predicted that the equipment will shift from the operation stopped state to the operating state, sets a main-electrical power conversion device to the operation stopped state and operates an auxiliary-electrical power conversion device to supply electrical power from the auxiliary-electrical power conversion device to the equipment, and that, if it is predicted that the equipment will shift from the operation stopped state to the operating state, operates the main-electrical power conversion device to supply power from the main-electrical power conversion device to the equipment. Power conversion efficiency of the auxiliary-electrical power conversion device is higher than that of the main-electrical power conversion device within a load current range corresponding to a dark current flowing through the equipment.

Abstract: A current detection apparatus is provided which detects a current flowing through a detection part in an electrical circuit. The current detection apparatus includes a first coil connected in series with the detection part, a second coil magnetically coupled with the first coil, a full-wave rectifier circuit connected to both ends of the second coil, a switching element having a first end connected to a positive electrode side output part of the full-wave rectifier circuit and a second end connected to a first resistor, and a second resistor that forms a closed circuit with the second coil regardless of an open or closed state of the switching element.

Abstract: A power conversion apparatus for converting AC power supplied from an AC power source to DC power includes an AC-DC conversion circuit connected with the AC power source at an input end thereof for converting the AC power to DC power, a DC-DC conversion circuit connected with an output end of the AC-DC conversion circuit at an input end thereof for converting DC voltage level of the DC power generated by the AC-DC conversion circuit, a smoothing capacitor parallel connected to the output end of the AC-DC conversion circuit and the input end of the DC-DC conversion circuit, a DC link voltage detector for detecting a voltage of the smoothing capacitor as a DC link voltage, and a control unit for controlling operation of the DC-DC conversion circuit. The control unit suppresses an output power of the DC-DC conversion circuit, if the DC link voltage is smaller than a predetermined value.
