Abstract: In a control apparatus, a voltage obtainer obtains an alternating-current voltage having a polarity across first and second alternating-current terminals. An overcurrent determiner determines whether a target current flowing through the first and second alternating-current terminals is in an overcurrent state. A controller alternately turns on a first set of first and fourth switches and a second set of second and third switches in accordance with the polarity of the alternating-current voltage. The controller changes a switching operation of at least one of the first to fourth switch being in an on state to thereby reduce the target current flowing through the first and second alternating-current terminals upon determination that the target current flowing through the first and second alternating-current terminals is in the overcurrent state.

Abstract: An electric power conversion apparatus has an input and output terminal, and a switch unit, and turns on and off the switch unit to transfer electric power from an electric storage unit connected to the input terminal to a power supply target connected to the output terminal. When reverse conduction current flows in the switch unit, it causes a larger conduction loss in an off state than an on state. The apparatus includes: a control unit that determines whether there is a request for increasing an amount of heat generation due to the electric power transfer, and when it is determined that there is the request, turns off the switch unit in which the reverse conduction current flows during the electric power transfer and, when it is determined that there is no request, turns on the switch unit in which the reverse conduction current flows during the electric power transfer.

Abstract: A power supply system includes a power conversion circuit that is connectable to a power storage unit. The power supply system includes a control unit and a heat transferring unit. The control unit supplies a current between the power storage unit and the power conversion circuit by performing on-off control of a switch that configures the power conversion circuit. The heat transferring unit absorbs heat that is generated in the power conversion circuit in accompaniment with the on-off control of the switch and transfers the heat to a temperature-increase target element. The control unit performs temperature-increase mode control in which the switch is on-off controlled such that an amount of heat that is generated in the power conversion circuit is increased when a temperature-increase request for the temperature-increase target element is present, compared to when the temperature-increase request is not present.

Abstract: A power conversion apparatus includes an input side terminal, an output side terminal and a switch unit, switching the switch unit between ON and OFF during a power transmission. The switch unit has characteristics that, in the case where a reverse current flows through the switch unit, the larger a gate voltage thereof in a negative side, the larger a conduction loss occurring when the reverse current flows. The power conversion apparatus is provided with a control unit that increases, when determined that the increase request for increasing the heating value is present, the gate voltage of the switch unit to the negative side when turned OFF compared to a case where no increase request for increasing the heating value is present, the reverse current flowing through the switch unit during the power transmission.

Abstract: In a control apparatus, an error correction outputting unit has correction info' illation indicative of a relationship between values of an estimation error correction and corresponding values of at least one parameter correlating with an operating condition of a rotary electric machine. The error correction outputting unit outputs, in response to an input of a value of the at least one parameter, a value of the estimation error correction from the correction information. The value of the estimation error correction corresponds to the input value of the at least one parameter. A magnetic flux estimation corrector corrects, based on the value of the estimation error correction, an estimate of magnetic flux calculated by a magnetic flux estimator to thereby output a corrected magnetic flux estimate.

Abstract: In a magnetic flux variation estimator of a control apparatus, a command voltage corrector corrects d- and q-axis command voltages to reduce a deviation between each of the d- and q-axis command voltages and a corresponding actual voltage to be applied to a rotary electric machine, thus outputting a corrected d-axis command voltage and a corrected q-axis command voltage. A standard voltage calculator calculates, based on an electrical angular velocity of the rotary electric machine and a current flowing in the rotary electric machine, a d-axis standard voltage and a q-axis standard voltage to be applied to the rotary electric machine while the rotary electric machine is in a predetermined standard state. An estimator estimates a magnetic flux variation as a function of the corrected d-axis command voltage, the corrected q-axis command voltage, and the q-axis standard voltage.
