摘要: A process and a continuous casting installation for the production of thin slabs, preferably of steel with a predetermined solidification thickness of, e.g., 50 mm, in which an optimum surface quality and internal quality of the strand with minimal and predetermined solidification thickness and plant capacity, and accordingly minimal rolling effort, is achieved by a qualitative adjustment of casting and rolling in the region of the strand guide, oscillation of the casting mold by a hydraulically operated lifting platform, feeding of casting powder to the mold, and an immersion nozzle with a specific cross sectional area of flow relating to the process and continuous casting installation, resulting in a satisfactory supply of casting slag and bath movement in the cast surface compared with a standard slab with a thickness of 200 mm. These conditions from the crater end to the cast surface exert a direct influence on the superficial and internal quality of the strand and on the reliability of the casting process.

摘要: A method and an apparatus for the early recognition of ruptures when continuously casting steel using an oscillating mold constructed of copper plates, wherein the method includes continuously and comparatively measuring operating parameters, for example, the temperature distribution with respect to location and time in the copper plates, and analyzing the obtained measurement results. For increasing the probability of an accurate evaluation of indications of an acute tendency of ruptures, two measuring data to be compared are coupled with each other as well as with measuring data of at least one third measuring row, and the measuring data are preferably analyzed online.

摘要: A method and a device for measuring and regulating the temperature and quantity of cooling water of a continuous casting mold which flows per unit of time through mold walls composed of copper plates which can be cooled by water, particularly independently of each other, wherein the cooling water temperature of a mold wall is measured at least at two locations in the areas of the outlet openings of a copper plate and the corresponding water box, a temperature profile is prepared from the values measured over the width of the copper plate, and the temperature profiles obtained in time intervals are compared to each other. Temperature sensors are arranged in the water discharge area between a copper plate and the cooling water outlet openings of the water box especially on each long side plate at least at two locations thereof, and the signal lines of the temperature sensors are connected to a computer, preferably with an on-line screen.

摘要: A continuous casting device comprises, in combination, a continuous casting mold for receiving molten metal, and at least one pair of guide rolls disposed immediately downstream of the mold exit opening. The exit opening of the mold is rectangular shaped so as to permit a rectangular strand to be cast which has a liquid core, a width and a thickness. The guide rolls are constructed so as to impart to the rectangular strand leaving the mold exit opening a convex shape so as to prevent snaking of the strand within the continuous casting device. The convexivity concavity extends along at least a part of the width of the strand and is no more than 8% of the strand thickness.

摘要: Disclosed are a method and an installation for producing steel products (1) having an optimum surface quality, especially extremely low carbon contents (UCL steel or IF steel), nitrogen contents, total oxygen contents, high-strength or stainless steel qualities. According to the invention, the liquid steel is cast into a thin slab (5a) from a process route (10, 11, 12, or 13) that is selected according to the desired final structure (9) based on an electric-arc furnace (2b), is descaled, cut into billets (15) having a partial length, optionally descaled once again, subjected to final descaling downstream from a holding furnace (16), milled in a finishing mill train (6a), rolled up in a rolling station (20) located downstream from the last finishing mill stand (19) or downstream from a cooling section (21), and the final structure (9) is adjusted in the cooling section (21) according to the desired steel quality by cooling on a run-out roller table (22), whereupon the rolling stock (1a) is completely rolled up in a second rolling station (23).
