    Abstract: One general aspect includes a method of remote volume adjustment through a telematics unit of a vehicle, the method including: establishing a short-range wireless connection (SRWC), via the telematics unit, with a wireless device present within the interior of the vehicle; receiving, via the telematics unit, one or more commands to set a maximum volume level for the wireless device; and limiting, via the telematics unit, the audio output directed to the wireless device to the maximum volume level.

    Abstract: A method for generating and transmitting a reminder message includes obtaining a unique user profile. The user profile includes a user identification (ID) indicative of a unique user, an object ID indicative of a unique object, and a device ID indicative of a unique mobile device. The processor is configured to predict a spatial relationship between the user, the object, and the mobile device. The prediction is based, in part, on the user ID, the object ID, and the device ID, where the prediction includes a geographic location for the user, the object, and/or the mobile device. The processor compares a location of at least two of the user, the object and the mobile device with the prediction of the user's spatial relationship with the object and the mobile device. The processor transmits a reminder message when the prediction of the spatial relationship exceeds a predetermined threshold.

    Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for detecting whether an antenna mast is coupled to an antenna. In one embodiment, a method of monitoring an antenna having a removable detection mechanism is provided. The method includes: monitoring voltage standing wave radio (VSWR) measurement data of the antenna; and selectively determining whether at least one of the detection mechanism and an antenna mast is installed based on the VSWR measurement data.

    Abstract: An antenna system includes a controller operatively connected to a first antenna and a second antenna, the controller including a vehicle position input configured and disposed to receive GPS position data identifying a location of a motor vehicle and a vehicle heading input configured and disposed to receive GPS heading data for the motor vehicle.
