Abstract:
A method and system for prioritizing connection data that is associated with different classes of service for transmission in a frame based communication system. These classes of service can include CBR, nrt-VBR, MGR, and UBR traffic. One embodiment of the scheduling method and system uses hierarchical round-robin (HRR) with deficit round-robin (DRR). In this embodiment, the scheduling method and system guarantees minimum rates of nrt-VBR and MGR traffic to the connections. The excess bandwidth is then fairly allocated between the existing connections and their classes of service. For example, the excess is allocated for UBR traffic and for the excess demands of the nrt-VBR and MGR connections. In one embodiment, the scheduling method and system allocates the excess bandwidth in a frame to the existing connections using weighted round robin to differentiate between different classes of service. In one embodiment, excess allocation to nrt-VBR and MGR connections is rolled back into the deficit counters for the minimum guaranteed rates of nrt-VBR and MGR connections.
Abstract:
An automated method is provided for assessing fit and alignment of an assembly component in relation to its assembly environment. The method includes: collecting measurement data for the assembly component; defining model data representative of an assembly environment, where the assembly environment is defined by surfaces of objects that are adjacent to the assembly component in an assembled configuration; and comparing the measurement data with the model data for the assembly environment, thereby assessing the assembly component in relation to its assembly environment.
Abstract:
A method of producing a semi-transparent type LCD panel provides an LCD panel with reflected light transmitting through a transmissive portion of a passivation layer having the same color density. The semi-transparent type LCD panel mainly comprises a transparent substrate, a first transparent conductive layer, a first alignment layer, a liquid crystal layer, a second alignment layer, a second transparent conductive layer, a color filter layer, a passivation layer, and a TFT array substrate. A reflection layer is formed on a portion of the passivation layer. The area of the passivation layer not covered with the reflection layer is etched to a certain depth. The passivation layer has two different levels of thickness so as to allow reflected transmitting lights to be of the same color density.
Abstract:
A method for dynamically generating a graphical user interface (GUI) from XML-based documents. In accordance with the method, visual components or display objects for building a GUI are defined, as well as a layout hierarchy describing layout relationships between the display objects, specifying how related display objects are to be laid out relative to each other on a layout window in the GUI. XML elements in an XML document pertaining to respective display objects are identified. A GUI is generated by rendering the identified display objects on the layout window, wherein the size and the position of each display object is based on layout rules defined by the layout hierarchy and a hierarchical position of the XML element pertaining to the display object within a hierarchy of XML elements of the XML document. The appearance of display objects in the GUI may also be altered through the use layout descriptors.

A fluorine-containing copolymer obtained by copolymerizing tetrafluoroethylene, hexafluoropropylene and perfluoro vinyl ether as component monomers, wherein a weight ratio of tetrafluoroethylene, hexafluoropropylene and perfluoro vinyl ether units constituting the fluorine-containing copolymer is 70 to 95:5 to 20:0 to 10, respectively; the fluorine-containing copolymer having: a melt flow rate of 30 (g/10 minutes) or more; a volatile content index of 0.2% by weight or less; and a stress relaxation modulus G(t) (unit: dyn/cm2) which satisfies the following formula at t=0.1 second when measured at a temperature of 310° C.: G(0.1)>7×106×X−1.6143−3000 where X denotes the melt flow rate (unit: g/10 minutes). Also disclosed is an insulating material composed of the fluorine-containing copolymer and an insulated cable having a core conductor coated with the fluorine-containing copolymer.

Abstract:
A magazine assembly for fastener driving tools includes a longitudinal track element having a J-shaped section for supporting the fasteners which are fed one by one towards a driver track of the nose of the fastener driving tool. There is provided a longitudinal guide plate having a lateral end mounted on the track element and a front end inserted into the nose. The guide plate is parallel to a slide groove of the track element which is for the sliding of the fastener tips and is located above the slide groove so as to restrict the upper edges and outer edges of the head portions of the fasteners. The height of the position of the guide plate to be mounted onto the track element may be adjusted to suit fasteners of various lengths.
Abstract:
A system and method for mapping a combined frequency division duplexing (FDD) Time Division Multiplexing (TDM)/Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) downlink subframe for use with half-duplex and full-duplex terminals in a communication system. Embodiments of the downlink subframe vary Forward Error Correction (FEC) types for a given modulation scheme as well as support the implementation of a smart antennae at a base station in the communication system. Embodiments of the system are also used in a TDD communication system to support the implementation of smart antennae. A scheduling algorithm allows TDM and TDMA portions of a downlink to efficiently co-exist in the same downlink subframe and simultaneously support full and half-duplex terminals. The algorithm further allows the TDM of multiple terminals in a TDMA burst to minimize the number of map entries in a downlink map. The algorithm limits the number of downlink map entries to not exceed 2n+1, where n is the number of DL PHY modes (modulation/FEC combinations) employed by the communication system.
