摘要: An FEP pellet having a volatile content of 0.2% by weight or less. The FEP pellet satisfies the following requirements (i) and (ii) when used to form a insulating material coating a core wire by extrusion coating at a coating speed of 2,800 ft/min.: (i) an adhesive strength between the insulating material and said core wire of 0.8 kg or more; and (ii) an average number of cone-breaks in the insulating material of one or less per 50,000 feet of the coated core wire.

摘要: A fluorine-containing copolymer obtained by copolymerizing tetrafluoroethylene, hexafluoropropylene and perfluoro vinyl ether as component monomers, wherein a weight ratio of tetrafluoroethylene, hexafluoropropylene and perfluoro vinyl ether units constituting the fluorine-containing copolymer is 70 to 95:5 to 20:0 to 10, respectively; the fluorine-containing copolymer having: a melt flow rate of 30 (g/10 minutes) or more; a volatile content index of 0.2% by weight or less; and a stress relaxation modulus G(t) (unit: dyn/cm2) which satisfies the following formula at t=0.1 second when measured at a temperature of 310° C.: G(0.1)>7×106×X−1.6143−3000 where X denotes the melt flow rate (unit: g/10 minutes). Also disclosed is an insulating material composed of the fluorine-containing copolymer and an insulated cable having a core conductor coated with the fluorine-containing copolymer.

摘要: The present invention provides a fluorocopolymer capable of giving electric wires excellent in electric characteristics even when it is used in high-speed electric wire covering molding. The present invention is a fluorocopolymer comprising tetrafluoroethylene [TFE]-derived copolymerized units and hexafluoropropylene [HFP]-derived copolymerized units, which has a following characteristics (a) and (b).(a) A thermal melting curve obtained by primary heating in differential scanning calorimetry shows a melting point within the range of 240 to 280° C. and a melting point peak portion area accounts for at least 60% of heats of fugion area. (b) The product of a MFR (g/10 minutes) and a resin pressure (MPa) is not larger than 40.

摘要: It is an object of the present invention to provide a fluororesin composition which hardly causes molding defects even when high-speed molding is performed in covering extrusion molding within a relatively broad molding temperature range and which can give covered electric wires, in particular foamed electric wires, excellent in surface smoothness.A fluororesin composition comprising a polytetrafluoroethylene [PTFE] having a standard specific gravity of 2.15 to 2.30 and a tetrafluoroethylene/hexafluoropropylene-based copolymer [FEP], the content of said PTFE being 0.01 to 3 parts by mass per 100 parts by mass of said FEP and the alkali metal content being not higher than 5 ppm on the resin composition solid matter basis, wherein said composition is obtained by a method comprising the step (1) of obtaining a cocoagulated fluororesin powder by mixing an aqueous dispersion containing said FEP and an aqueous dispersion containing said PTFE together, followed by coagulation, the step (2) of melt extruding the cocoagulated powder and the step (3) of subjecting the extrusion product to treatment for stabilizing unstable terminal groups in said PTFE and FEP.
