    摘要: The integrated magnetic sensor for detecting an external magnetic field, is formed by a body of semiconductor material having a surface; an insulating layer covering the body of semiconductor material; a magnetically sensitive region, for example a Hall cell, extending inside the body; and a concentrator of ferromagnetic material, extending on the Hall cell and having a planar portion extending parallel to the surface of the substrate on the insulating layer. The concentrator terminates with a tip protruding peripherally from, and transversely to, the planar portion toward the Hall cell. When the magnetically sensitive region is a sensing coil of a fluxgate sensor, it is formed on the substrate, embedded in the insulating layer, and the tip of the concentrator can reach as far as the sensing coil.

    摘要: An integrated magnetoresistive device, where a substrate of semiconductor material is covered, on a first surface, by an insulating layer. A magnetoresistor of ferromagnetic material extends in the insulating layer and defines a sensitivity plane of the sensor. A concentrator of ferromagnetic material including at least one arm, extending in a transversal direction to the sensitivity plane and vertically offset to the magnetoresistor. In this way, magnetic flux lines directed perpendicularly to the sensitivity plane are concentrated and deflected so as to generate magnetic-field components directed in a parallel direction to the sensitivity plane.

    摘要: In an integrated pressure sensor with a high full-scale value, a monolithic body of semiconductor material has a first and a second main surface, opposite and separated by a substantially uniform distance. The monolithic body has a bulk region, having a sensitive portion next to the first main surface, upon which pressure acts. A first piezoresistive detection element is integrated in the sensitive portion and has a variable resistance as a function of the pressure. The bulk region is a solid and compact region and has a thickness substantially equal to the distance.

    摘要: A troubleshooting circuit for locating malfunctions while driving an electric load by means of a bridge stage (M1, M2, M3, M4) which is connected between ground (GND) and the power supply (+VCC) in series with first and second resistors (Rsl, Rsh), respectively. First (COMP1) and second (COMP2) threshold comparators are coupled to the first resistor to sense a short-circuit to battery (+VCC) and an open-load condition, respectively. Coupled to the second resistor is a third threshold comparator (COMP3) adapted to sense a short-circuit to ground. The output signals from the comparators are sampled through flip-flops (FF1, FF2, FF3, FF4, FF5, FF6) upon a transistor in the bridge being switched to the off state.

    摘要: A voltage regulator comprising a first power switch connected between the input terminal and output terminal; a storage condenser connected to the input terminal via a one-way switch; a second power switch connected between the condenser and the input terminal; and a regulating element connected to the output terminal and driving the power switches in such a manner as to maintain the output voltage constant. For better distributing electric and thermal stress and improving the reliability and working life of the regulator by reducing the interference caused by switching of the two power switches, a drive device is provided between the regulating element and the switches for detecting the input voltage and the voltage of the condenser, and keeping both switches on as long as the input voltage is above two given thresholds, turning off the second switch when the input voltage is higher than the condenser voltage and below the first threshold, and turning off the first switch when the input voltage is lower than the condenser voltage and below the second threshold.

    摘要: An electric power generator which includes a component, for example, a Zener diode, connected in series with the usual return diode which is connected in parallel to the excitation winding of the alternator. The Zener diode makes it possible to set the discharging voltage due to the energy stored in the magnetic field associated with the inductance of the excitation winding at a relatively high level during high-voltage transients caused by the accidental disconnection of the wire connecting the alternator to a load or a terminal of the motor vehicle battery while it is in the charging stage. The result is a more rapid dissipation of the energy stored in the excitation circuit, and therefore results in an output transient having a reduced energy content. Thus, it is possible to construct a voltage regulator and such other devices as may be powered by the alternator in the form of low-voltage integrated circuits.
