摘要： An automated banking machine operates responsive to data read from user cards to accept checks and dispense cash to authorized machine users. The machine can compare image data and magnetic data obtained from a check to determine the genuineness of the check. The machine can also determine whether a machine user is authorized to exchange a check for cash. A cash dispenser can be operated to dispense cash to a machine user in exchange for a deposited check. The machine dispenses the cash responsive to communications with a transaction host.

摘要： An automated banking machine controlled responsive to data bearing records includes a card reader that is operative to read data from user cards including identifying data and to authorize operation of an automated banking machine responsive to the identifying data. The automated banking machine includes a deposit accepting device. The deposit accepting device is operative to receive a stack of sheets and to separate each sheet from the stack through operation of a picker. Each sheet is aligned with the sheet path and analyzed by analysis devices including at least one magnetic read head, an imager and/or a validation device. Sheets determined not to have at least one property of a genuine sheet are returned to a user of the machine. Sheets determined to have at least one property of genuine sheets are processed and stored in the machine.

摘要： A card activated automated banking machine is operative to conduct transactions for authorized users based on data read from cards through operation of a card reader. The machine includes a deposit accepting device. The deposit accepting device is operative to receive a stack of sheets and to separate each sheet from the stack through operation of a picker. 摘要： An ATM can accept checks and dispense cash to users. An inkiet printhead can print indicia on accepted checks. An ink catcher is positioned on a side of a check path opposite to the printhead. The ink catcher includes a body portion, a projecting portion, and a head portion. The body portion has an ink holding interior area. The Projecting portion has an opening that is in fluid communication with the interior area. The head portion includes an opening, a wiper, and is rotatable relative to the projecting portion. The rotation enables the head portion opening to be aligned with the projecting portion opening. In this position, the aligned openings enable ink expelled from the printhead which does not strike a check to be captured in the interior area. Other head portion rotation enables the wiper member to clean the inkjet nozzles.
