Embodiments are disclosed in which frame structures are provided that support FD communication and frequency division duplex (FDD) communication and time division duplex (TDD) communication. In some embodiments, there is defined two separate and independent frame structures: a frame structure for reception (e.g. a downlink frame structure) and a frame structure for transmission (e.g. an uplink frame structure).

    摘要: Systems and method for defining sub-bands are provided. Each sub-band has a respective sub-carrier spacing, and at least one sub-band portion. Each sub-band portion has a channelization configuration including a resource block size configuration and a sub-band portion bandwidth. The sub-bands are allocated based on a sub-band configuration framework that includes a preconfigured set of possible sub-carrier spacings, a preconfigured set of possible resource block sizes, and a preconfigured set of possible sub-band portion bandwidths. In some embodiments, to improve bandwidth utilization, the channelization configuration for a given sub-band configures a plurality of resource blocks having a first number of sub-carriers and an additional resource block having a number of sub-carriers other than the first number. A bandwidth portion may include two bandwidth portions having different channelizations with differing numbers of sub-carriers per resource block such that more useful sub-carriers are used than would be possible if only resource blocks having a largest of the differing numbers of sub-carriers were used.

According to an embodiment of the disclosure, upon determining that data is to be transmitted to the wireless device in the eco state, a network node operates to transmit a unicast notification message to the wireless device in order to inform the wireless device of the impending data transmission.     摘要: Systems and methods are disclosed for performing combined grant-free and grant-based UL resource allocation. In a particular embodiment, a network entity sends a first type of UL transmission resource assignment selected from two types of UL transmission resource assignment mechanisms to a UE for grant-free transmission and a second type of UL transmission resource assignment from two types of UL transmission resource assignment mechanism to a UE for grant based transmission. The network entity then receives a first data transmission from the UE for grant free transmission using an assigned transmission resource and a second data transmission from the UE for grant based transmission using an assigned transmission resources. Other embodiments pertain to changing the resource allocation scheme from grant free to grant based for a UE, or vice versa. Examples reasons for doing so may include HARQ re-transmissions.

    摘要: By defining more SCS options and Discrete Fourier Transform (“DFT”) options for transmissions in future networks, there arises cause to select from among the options, with aspects of the channel as guidance for the selection. In addition, new CP designs may be defined for use with the new SCS options and the new DFT options along with methods of selecting a CP design appropriate to a particular situation. The new CP designs may be shown to have smaller CP overhead when compared to the known CP designs used for known combinations of an SCS option with an FFT size option. New sampling frequency design options and new system basic timing options may also be defined, along with methods of making appropriate selections from among these options. Control signaling using higher layers may be used to distribute configuration options that include multiple SCS options, CP duration options, sampling frequency options and DFT size options per sub-band. Later, layer 1 signaling may be used to specify a particular option from among the multiple options.
