    摘要: A cleaning system for an inkjet printhead comprises an inkjet printhead having an inkjet nozzle array associated therewith. The inkjet printhead is in fluid communication with a first source of a first pressurized fluid. A fluid nozzle associated with the inkjet printhead is in fluid communication with a second source of a second pressurized fluid. The cleaning system further comprises a collection plate. Ink is forcibly ejected from the inkjet printhead by the first source of the first pressurized fluid. A stream of the second pressurized fluid is guided by the fluid nozzle across a surface of the inkjet printhead to direct ink ejected from the inkjet printhead onto the collection plate.

    摘要: A method of detecting an alignment error includes the steps of controlling a first portion of one or more imaging units to image on a substrate a first plurality of substantially parallel lines extending along a first direction and a second plurality of substantially parallel lines extending along a second direction and controlling a second portion of one or more imaging units to image a third plurality of substantially parallel lines extending along the first direction and a fourth plurality of substantially parallel lines extending along the second direction. One or more distances between adjacent lines of the second plurality of lines are varied and one or more distances between adjacent lines of the fourth plurality of lines are varied. Further, the lines imaged by the first and second portions form an alignment pattern. The method further includes the steps of collecting data relating to the alignment pattern and analyzing the collected data to determine an alignment error between the first and second portions of the one or more imaging units.

    摘要: A system for fluid transmission and temperature regulation in an inkjet printing system comprises first and second ink supplies connected via respective first and second valves to an inlet end of a fluid supply conduit. A printhead mount includes an inlet port connected to an outlet end of the fluid supply conduit and an outlet port connected via a first fluid transmission conduit and a third valve to a waste reservoir. A printhead cartridge is mounted within the printhead mount and in fluid communication with the inlet and outlet ports of the printhead mount. A temperature control element and a temperature sensor are each disposed downstream of the first and second valves, and a controller is connected to the temperature control element, the temperature sensor, and to each of the first, second, and third valves.
