    摘要: A toner including core particles containing at least a resin and a colorant and coated with a resin coating layer is provided. The core particles are formed by flocculating and fusion-bonding at least resin microparticles and colorant microparticles dispersed in fluid dispersion, while two or more coating layers are formed over the core particles. A wax is added to at least one of the coating layer(s) but for the outermost coating layer, and the core particles. A ratio d/r between an average thickness d of the overall coating layers and a volume average particle size r of the core particles is adjusted to 0.01 to 0.6.

    摘要: Disclosed herein is a recording method for recording an image on a thermosensible image bearing medium that contains liquid crystal material. The liquid crystal exhibits a cholesteric phase at a temperature range higher than a room temperature so as to reflect selected wavelength of light based on heated temperature within the temperature range. Since the cholesteric liquid crystal material has a different response time for each selective reflection wavelength, an optimum energy application time is required for obtaining a desired recording color. Accordingly, in the recording method, it is getting higher the heating temperature, shorter the application time. The application time can be adjusted by the pulse width and/or pulse number of the applied energy.

    摘要: A liquid crystal display element includes a cholesteric phase liquid crystal component and a space holding member held within a pair of substrates, wherein at least one of which is transparent. The liquid crystal component is a chiral-nematic liquid crystal material containing a liquid crystal pyrimidine compound having fluorine in the molecule, liquid crystal diphenylacetylene having fluorine in the molecule, and a chiral component. The liquid crystal component may also contain a liquid crystal phenylcyclohexane compound, a liquid crystal cyanobiphenyl compound, and a liquid crystal alkenyl compound. In the present invention, characteristics such as color purity and reflectivity are improved, contrast is increased, and the drive voltage can be reduced by including in the nematic liquid crystal component a liquid crystal pyrimidine compound having fluorine within the molecule, and a liquid crystal diphenylacetylene compound containing fluorine within the molecule.

    摘要: The present invention discloses an ink-jet type recorder comprising reserving means for withholding a recording liquid consisting of a mixture of electroviscous liquids (EVL) and coloring materials, the reserving means including a plurality of nozzles from which a jet of the recording liquid spouts out, and a plurality of pairs of electrodes for impressing a voltage to the recording liquid withheld in the reserving means, wherein the impressed voltage to the plurality of pairs of electrodes is controlled in order to change the viscosity of EVL so that a jet of the recording liquid spouts out from the plurality of nozzles onto recording media. Also the present invention discloses an ink-jet type recorder comprising reserving means having an EVL withholding unit for withholding EVL and a recording liquid by way of two separate liquid phases contacting each other at one end, and a plurality of pairs of electrodes for impressing a voltage to EVL withheld in the reserving means, wherein the impressed voltage to the pairs of electrodes is controlled in order to change the volume of EVL so that EVL directly pumps out the recording liquid onto recording media through the plurality of nozzles.
