    摘要: An arrayed electrohydrodynamic printhead without the extraction electrodes is provided. A printhead is formed by an ink cartridge, a flow channel plate, a nozzle plate, a control electrode layer. The ink cartridge includes an ink inlet, an ink outlet, an installation hole, a flow channel layer inlet, flow channel layer outlet. The flow channel plate has the functions of guiding the ink to flow into the nozzle plate and increasing the potential difference between the nozzles, and includes a flow channel inlet, a flow channel outlet, a drainage channel, and a microfluidic channel. A body of the nozzle plate includes nozzles and nozzle electrodes. The microfluidic channel forms a voltage division unit between each nozzle, so that the voltage on the triggered nozzle is dispersed in the flow channel without affecting other nozzles, and independent and controllable injection of each nozzle is thereby achieved.

Based on a result detected by a detection unit configured to detect a change in an alternating current electric field generated from the alternating current electric field generation unit, a control unit is configured to stop generation of the high-frequency voltage from the high-frequency voltage generation unit to the first electrode and the second electrode.

A nozzle (3) is formed in the layer structure. The nozzle has a nozzle opening (34) for ejecting the liquid. A ring trench (31) is formed around the nozzle. The nozzle opening and the ring trench are radially separated by an annular nozzle wall (32). An ejection channel (37) is formed adjacent to the ring trench along the direction of ejection. An extraction electrode (8) is arranged on the insulator layer (7) and surrounds the nozzle.

    摘要: Under a condition in which bowed printing occurs, a horizontal shift is suppressed to improve print quality. Following a program stored in a ROM 12, an MPU 10 generates video data for charging print particles according to print contents data stored in a RAM 11. Based on the print contents data, the MPU 10 detects a letter to be printed last, and when the letter to be printed last is printed to end a print operation, generates video data so that based on the video data, a non-print charge voltage driving non-print particles to an extent that they do not fly over a gutter 25 is applied to non-print particles. The number of the non-print particles subjected to the non-print charge voltage is determined by the MPU 10, based on the distance from a print head 2 to a print subject 30, a letter height preset value, etc. A character signal generating circuit 18 generates the non-print charge voltage, based on the video data, and applies the generated the non-print charge voltage to a charging electrode 22.

    摘要: A printing device includes a nozzle and an extractor. An electrostatic extraction field is generated at the extractor and at a discharge opening of the nozzle to extract polarized ink from the nozzle for deposition on a printing substrate. The extractor includes an electrically conductive portion for application of one side of a voltage potential to generate the electrostatic field. The extractor can be in the form of an extractor plate with an opening through which the extracted ink passes, or the extractor can be in the form of another nozzle. The printing device provides a directionality field that affects the trajectory of the extracted ink. The directionality field can include the electrostatic field or a gas flow field. The printing device is useful for electrohydrodynamic jet, or e-jet, printing on a non-conductive substrate.
