Abstract: A method for releasing an F1 connection is used for an IAB node. Abstract: Example transmission rate control methods and apparatus are described. One example method includes obtaining a user equipment aggregate maximum bit rate (UE-AMBR) by a master base station. The master base station determines, based on the UE-AMBR, a first UE-AMBR used for the master base station and a second UE-AMBR used for a secondary base station. The master base station sends the second UE-AMBR to the secondary base station, and sends instruction information used to instruct the secondary base station to control data splitting for the master base station to the secondary base station. In this application, a transmission rate between each base station and a UE is controlled by allocating a UE-AMBR.

Abstract: A configuration method is provided in a communications system. The communications system includes a master node and a secondary node that jointly provide a service for a terminal. The method includes: the secondary node generates configuration information for a signaling radio bearer (SRB), where the SRB is used to transmit a radio resource control (RRC) message between the secondary node and the terminal; and sends the configuration information for the SRB to the master node, so that the configuration information for the SRB is sent to the terminal through the master node. The secondary node receives a result of configuring the SRB by the terminal by using the configuration information for the SRB. In this way, the SRB can be established on the secondary node, and used for RRC message transmission between the secondary node and the terminal, thereby improving efficiency in radio resource management on the secondary node.

Abstract: This application relates to the field of communications technologies, and discloses example redirection methods and apparatuses to ensure that a call drop does not occur after UE is redirected. One example method includes determining, by a base station, that a redirection operation needs to be performed on user equipment UE, and then instructing a core network to reserve a guaranteed bit rate (GBR) bearer or a voice service bearer that is corresponding to the UE. The UE is then instructed to reserve the GBR bearer or the voice service bearer that is corresponding to the UE. After the UE is redirected to a new base station, the voice service bearer of the UE is reserved on a UE side.
