Abstract: Sidelink communication operations may be enhanced through the use of communications requirement signaling, which may include, for example, indications of the type, size, quality of service requirements, pending buffer sizes, and the like, and through the evaluation of such signaled information to determine whether existing grants and logical channels may suffice for new sidelink traffic. Grants may be requested via sidelink scheduling requests and sidelink buffer status reporting, for example, which allow scheduling devices, such as base stations and scheduling user equipment apparatuses, early insight into needs of sidelink traffic for application with divergent QoS requirements.

Abstract: Sub-band (SB) indications and listen-before-talk (LBT) outcomes may be used to adjust communications between devices such as wireless terminals and base stations. For example, a wireless terminal may receive SB indications including SB configurations and/or LBT outcomes of a base station, and other information such as a remapped CORESET. Similarly, a terminal may determine that a physical resource block (PRB) is invalid based at least in part on whether the PRB overlaps with a guard band. The terminal may be arranged to adjust its searches and transmissions based on received SB indications, and to provide the base station with LBT outcomes of the terminal.

Abstract: Hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) processes may be transmitted via configured grants as well as scheduled grants. The configured grants may include time and frequency resources, and transmissions may occur across contiguous transmissions. HARQ process information, such as HARQ IDs and redundancy versions, may be communicated via a control channel, and the control channel may be multiplexed with the transmission resources of the configured grants. Retransmission timers may be used for HARQ processes conveyed via configured grants, and the transmitting apparatus may signal to a receiver when to send an acknowledgement. An acknowledgement may take the form of bitmaps for code block groups of a HARQ. A configured grant may be selected from among multiple configured grants based upon low latency, for example. A group of configured grants may be activated or deactivated via a single command.

Abstract: Methods and apparatuses are described herein to address issues at the MAC layer resulting from potential Listen-Before-Talk (LBT) failures and delayed transmission. For example, a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may monitor a plurality of TX resource pools within a sidelink bandwidth part (BWP) for LBT events. The WTRU may cause, based on determining that an LBT failure has occurred, a corrective action associated with a sidelink MAC procedure. The WTRU may determine, based on the LBT failure, that a total number or consecutive number of detected LBT failures for one of the monitored TX resource pools exceeds a threshold, indicating a consistent LBT failure. The WTRU may, based on the consistent LBT failure, send an indication of the consistent LBT failure for the TX resource pool to peer WTRUs. and an indication of the consistent LBT failure for the TX resource pool to a serving cell.

Abstract: Multicast/Broadcast Service (MBS) for user equipments (UE) in Radio Resource Control (RRC) idle/inactive modes via signally of MBS frequency ranges and/or switching between frequency ranges as required. Bandwidth Part (BWP) operation for MBS in RRC_IDLE and RRC_INACTIVE states may be implemented using a dedicated MBS BWP or by sharing a frequency range with other operations.
