Abstract:
A method of determining a participant's contribution to a conversation or dialogue by generating a contribution score is provided. The contribution score may be determined based on at least one of a prosody analysis of a participant's input and an input reaction measure indicative of another participant's reaction to the participant's input. An associated computer system and computer program product is also provided.
Abstract:
Embodiments relate to controlling display of a document, where the document comprises multiple columns. An aspect includes displaying the columns of the document in a viewport, receiving a user input defining a downwards scrolling for the document. Another aspect includes determining the lowest numbered column that does not have its lowest point displayed in the viewport. Another aspect includes scrolling upwards only the lowest numbered column that does not have its lowest point displayed in the viewport, while maintaining all other columns stationary in the viewport.
Abstract:
Optimizing the rendering of objects in a Web browser view is described. A Web browser system includes: a processor, a computer readable memory, and a computer readable storage medium associated with a computer device; program instructions of an object model configured to organize objects in layers including a lower layer and one or more higher layers; program instructions of a rendering engine for loading two or more objects from a server into the layers of the object model and for rendering selected objects in a Web browser view; program instructions of an object selection engine configured to select two or more loaded objects in the object model for display in the client browser view; and program instructions of an object deselection engine configured to deselect one or more selected objects in a lower layer that are occluded by one or more objects in a higher layer or above.
Abstract:
Systems and computer program product synchronize screenshots in documentation with product functionality. Documentation source relating to a product includes placeholders where screenshots of user interface views of the product are to be located. A placeholder includes a description or pointer to a description of how to generate the user interface view of the product associated with the screenshot. A new version of the documentation may be generated. The documentation source including placeholders is read. Placeholders in the documentation are used to generate a user interface view. The user interface view is captured as a screenshot. The screenshot is inserted in the new version of the documentation at the location of the placeholder used to generate the screenshot.
Abstract:
An approach for an intelligent GPS service is provided. The approach monitors a plurality of routes, wherein the plurality of routes are routes traveled by a user in a plurality of successive journeys. The approach determines one or more common sub-routes within the plurality of routes, the one or more common sub-routes having a plurality of points in common with each other. The approach determines whether the one or more common sub-routes exceed a pre-determined threshold. The approach flags each of the one or more common sub-routes exceeding a pre-determined threshold. The approach identifies one or more flagged common-sub-routes within a calculated route.
Abstract:
A method and associated system. A server computer selects a re-ordering scheme from one or more re-ordering schemes, for re-ordering chunks of an original tile. The server computer divides the file into the chunks. After the file is divided into the chunks, the server computer re-orders the chunks according to the selected re-ordering scheme to form an obfuscated file that includes the re-ordered chunks. The server computer sends, to a client computer, the obfuscated file along with a scheme access reference that enables the client computer to access the selected re-ordering scheme.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the present invention provide systems and methods for displaying advertisements. These systems and methods employ a device capable of displaying advertisements, obtaining user profiles; assessing user profiles; broadcasting programs; caching advertisements; and displaying cached advertisement. Two channels are utilized where the first channel broadcasts program content and the second channel displays advertisement content. While programs are broadcasted, a set of advertisements associated with the assessed profile are cached. A time segment containing a set of advertisements is transposed from the second channel into the first channel during an advertisement break.

Abstract:
A publish subscribe broker system comprises a hardware receiver, one or more processors, and a hardware transmitter. The hardware receiver receives a message and two or more orthogonal message topics, wherein a topic is a branch of a topic tree. The one or more processors execute a subscription engine for identifying all subscribers whose subscription topics match the received two or more orthogonal message topics. The hardware transmitter sends the message only to identified subscribers and not to subscribers having just one of the orthogonal message topics.
Abstract:
A system comprises one or more components, such as a processing device and/or a storage device and a monitoring element that is connected to at least one of the components. A mechanism of determining performance in the system determines, for each component, a maximum achievable performance for a component for a specific metric, determines a maximum performance for the component for the specific metric, given the current system configuration, determines a current performance for the component for the specific metric, and provides the determined performance measurements to the monitoring element.
