摘要: A searching method in the Internet that correlates publicly available product reviews for products by initially predetermining a set of review terms indicative of a favorable review and also predetermining a set of review terms indicative of an unfavorable review. From a requesting station, databases in the Internet are searched for the product reviews as follows. Product reviews are distinguished from other documents mentioning the product that may also be in the searched databases. Each distinguished product review is then analyzed using the predetermined review terms indicative of favorable reviews and predetermined review terms indicative of unfavorable reviews. An overall determination is made as to whether each individual product review was favorable, unfavorable or balanced.

摘要: A system that will enable the sender of the E-mail to control the redistribution of the message tasks that are to be redistributed by the receiver of the E-mail. More particularly, the present invention comprises enabling the sender of E-mail to specify conditions for the redistribution of an E-mail message sent to a receiving display terminal in combination with an implementation enabling this sender to track the redistribution of the sent E-mail message and apparatus enabling the sender to change the redistribution of the E-mail message. According to the invention, initially, there is an implementation enabling a user at the terminal receiving the sent E-mail message to redistribute the sent E-mail message subject to the conditions specified by the sender. The sent E-mail message specifies tasks divided out of the sent E-mail message to be assigned, respectively, to subsequent receivers of the redistribution messages by such messages.

摘要: A system, method, and related computer program for expanding storage capacity of portable electronic equipment via wireless communications device. The portable electronic equipment can be a such equipment as a digital camera, MP3 player, personal computer, as well as a digital wallet. The present invention provides a wireless communications device for expanding the storage capacity of portable electronic equipment having limited storage capacity via the receiving means in the device, and means in the equipment for transferring stored data to the device. The device is then able to convert the data into a form suitable for wireless transmission to a receiving storage facility. The storage facility is able to wirelessly return data in said form back to the device, and the device is able to reconvert the returned data into the original form of the data. There is also a caching file system for retaining shadowed memory data in the wireless communications device to lessen delays in wireless communication.

摘要: A system, method, and related computer program for storing digital camera data directly onto a detachable USB storage key in the digital camera. The present invention allows a user to store digital photographs taken with a digital camera directly onto the USB storage key and transfer said storage key and the data contained thereon to another computer controlled instrument, such as a PDA, camcorder, personal computer, or a second digital camera, without the use of a cable. The digital camera has a slot for operatively receiving a memory card for storage of digital photographs to be taken by said camera. The digital camera has a USB connection slot formed in the body of the camera adapted to receive a USB storage key. The USB key drive in the camera is accessible through said USB connection slot. A separatable USB storage key received in said USB connection slot and connected to said USB key drive stores data from said camera on the USB key. This invention allows a user more flexibility in storing digital photographs, and transferring stored data easily and quickly to another computer controlled instrument.

摘要: Instead of alphanumeric passwords, the entry of answers to questions that have obscure answers known only to the user is solicited. However, it is recognized that even items of obscure information could be found out by identity thieves. Therefore, many of such questions are set up, and then one or more of such questions are randomly selected to prompt the user seeking entry. This should thwart the hacker who might have come upon any one of such items of obscure information. The stored user database of questions and answers for protecting access to a secured entity may be carried on a card, such as a smart card. This portable card would include means for storing data representative of a plurality of questions requiring obscure answers known only to the user of the card. The data processor controlled display terminal protecting entry to the secured database or facility would include apparatus enabling the selective operative coupling of said portable card with said display terminal in combination with apparatus responsive to said coupling of said card to said display terminal for prompting said user on the display terminal to answer at least one of said stored questions selected at random.
