Abstract:
In a multi-location television conference system that connects five locations A, B, C, D, and E, when speeches take place at the four locations A, B, C, and D at the same time, at a listening location E, images of all the speaking locations A, B, C, and D are displayed on one screen with four divided screen areas. On the other hand, at the speaking location A, images of the speaking locations B, c, and D and an image of the former speaking location E are displayed on one screen with four divided screen areas. In addition, when images of speaking locations are displayed, locations names thereof are also displayed. Thus, a television conference held at a plurality of locations at a time can be smoothly managed as with a real conventional conference.
Abstract:
An apparatus for loading and unloading a workpiece between a working position of a machine tool and a waiting position provided outside the machine tool. The apparatus comprises a rotational shaft which is supported to be rotatable about its axis extending in parallel with an axis of a work spindle, and is rotated in a clockwise direction or a counterclockwise direction within a required rotational angle by an actuator. On a bracket fixed on one end of the rotational shaft, there are installed a loading arm unit and an unloading arm unit. The loading arm unit and the unloading arm unit are arrayed in a direction of the axis of the work spindle, and extend in an up-and-down direction along a pair of lines, which intersect with each other at a predetermined angle so as to interact at the working position, respectively. Each of the loading arm unit and the unloading arm unit has a pair of gripping claws extending in a direction which is normal to the axis of the work spindle.
Abstract:
A steering system (1) for vehicles including a front wheel steering mechanism (1a) for steering front wheels (5) at an angle in accordance with a steering operation of a driver, and a rear wheel steering mechanism (1b) for steering rear wheels (11) at an angle (Sr) in accordance with a travelling state of the vehicle. For the steering of the rear wheel, a reference steering angle (Ar) according to a turning state of the vehicle and a corrective steering angle (Ac) according to a velocity derivative thereof are computed, and the steering angle (Sr) of the rear wheel is obtained by making either an addition or a subtraction of the reference and corrective steering angles at least in accordance with the velocity derivative.
Abstract:
A motor vehicle has two steerable righthand and lefthand front wheels and two steerable righthand and lefthand rear wheels, a front wheel steering device for steering the front wheels according to the angle through which a steering wheel is turned, a rear wheel steering device for steering the rear wheels, an actuator for actuating said rear wheel steering device, and a control device for controlling the operation of the actuator to steer the rear wheels in a direction which is selectively the same as or opposite to the direction in which the front wheels are turned. The steering of the rear wheels is controlled by determining the speeds of rotation of the four front and rear wheels with respect to the ground, and controlling the operation of the actuator with the control device so that any difference between the speeds of rotation of the front and rear wheels with respect to the ground will be reduced substantially to zero.
Abstract:
A steering mechanism in a motor vehicle having front and rear wheels steerable in response to steering operation of a steering wheel. An input shaft rotatable about its own axis in response to steering operation of the steering wheel has an eccentric shaft mounted on a rear end of the input shaft. A tubular member is rotatably fitted over the eccentric shaft and has an integral pinion and an integral eccentric cam. An internal gear disposed in fixed relationship to a vehicle body of the motor vehicle is held in meshing engagement with the pinion. A pair of tie rods supporting the rear wheels, respectively, is interconnected by a joint member rotatably mounted on the eccentric cam.
Abstract:
A steering apparatus for a vehicle having steerable front and rear wheels includes a front wheel steering system for steering the front wheels, a rear wheel steering system for steering the rear wheels, a linkage member for coupling the front and rear wheel steering systems to each other. The rear wheel steering system comprises a housing adapted to be mounted on the vehicle, an input shaft angularly movably supported by the housing and having a front end coupled to the connecting means and an eccentric shaft on a rear end thereof, a joint member supported by the housing so as to be movable transversely of the vehicle, a pair of tie rods connected at ends to the joint member and at opposite ends to the rear wheels, and a slide member held in slidable engagement with the joint member and operatively coupled to the eccentric shaft for movement in response to angular movement of the input shaft. The joint member and the slide member are held in tapered engagement with each other to assure desired operation of the steering apparatus for an extended period of time.
Abstract:
A steering system for a vehicle with front and rear wheels suspended from a vehicle body through a suspending mechanism, comprising a front wheel steering mechanism for steering the front wheels at an angle in accordance with a steering operation of a driver, and a rear wheel steering mechanism for steering the rear wheels at an angle in accordance with a travelling state of the vehicle. The rear wheel steering mechanism has an arrangement for determining a steered angle correction quantity of the rear wheels in correspondence with a cushioning state of the wheel suspending mechanism, and an arrangement for specifying the steering angle of the rear wheels in accordance with the steered angle correction quantity. The cushioning state may be ascertained by detecting a cushioning stroke of the suspending mechanism or a roll angle of the vehicle.
Abstract:
A vehicular steering system for steering both front and rear wheels through steering operation of a steering wheel wherein a rear wheel steering mechanism is advantageously reduced in both size and weight. The rear wheel steering mechanism includes a shaft member which rotates in interlocking cooperation with a steering wheel and which is inserted and supported rotatably through a cylindrical holder in a sleeve fixed to the vehicle body. A crank pin is attached to the shaft member, with a joint member being loosely mounted and supported thereon. A link mechanism is pivoted at one end thereof to the vehicle body and integrally connected at the other end thereof to the joint member, and right and left rear wheel steering tie rods are connected and supported respectively through ball joints to the right and left of the joint member. The axis of each rear wheel steering tie rod, the center of each ball joint and the core of the crank pin are substantially aligned with one another on each of the right and left sides.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a communication apparatus including a plurality of interfaces and the interfaces are selected to enable detour call reception. A power-supplied interface is allowed to receive a call correspondingly to the selection of the interface. A plurality of networks (cellular network, WLAN network) and a communicating apparatus (communication terminal apparatus) wirelessly connected to a network apparatus (cellular switchboard, SIP server) disposed in each network are included. The communicating apparatus includes a plurality of interface units (cellular interface unit, WLAN interface unit) corresponding to the networks. Connection of a power source is switched for the interface units, and some or all of the networks are notified of detour destination information for detouring the call from the network to the interface unit of the call destination. The network apparatus receives the detour destination information to detour the call to the interface unit of the detour destination.
