摘要： A collapsible carton comprises opposing front and back panels, opposing top and bottom panels generally bridging said opposing front and back panels, a first pair of accordion panels connecting said front panel to said bottom panel, and a second pair of accordion panels connecting said back panel to said bottom panel. The carton further includes a plurality of side closure flaps extending from opposing ends of the top and bottom panels and the front and back panels. When the carton is in open-sided form and after a compressible product is loaded into the carton through one of the open sides, the carton is collapsed in response to moving the top and bottom panels toward each other so as to cause the first and second pairs of accordion panels to spread outward in accordion-like fashion into overlapping relationship.

摘要： A side-filled, flip-top reclosable carton composed of a unitary, continuous blank, comprises opposing top and bottom walls, opposing front and back walls, and opposing first and second side walls. The first and second side walls and the front wall include a continuous horizontal tear element for opening up the carton from a sealed form to form a lid hingedly attached to a base section. The first and second side walls include respective first and second top minor flaps hingedly connected to opposing ends of the top wall. The first and second side walls include respective first and second web flaps hingedly connected at upper edges thereof. The first web flap is hingedly connected to the first top minor flap along a first diagonal score line, and the second web flap is hingedly connected to the second top minor flap along a second diagonal score line.

摘要： A recloseable container comprises an outer carton and a collar disposed therein. The outer carton includes opposing top and bottom walls, opposing front and back walls, and opposing side walls. The collar is press bonded to one or more of the inner surfaces of the opposing front and back walls and the opposing side walls of the carton. The opposing side walls and the front wall of the carton include a continuous horizontal tear strip for opening up the carton from a sealed form to form a lid hingedly attached to a base section. To manufacture the recloseable container, an outer surface of a strip of collar material is press bonded to an inner surface of carton material. The attached carton material and strip of collar material are then simultaneously die-cut and scored to produce a respective carton blank and collar blank from which the recloseable container is formed.

摘要： A tray-lid assembly comprises a tray and a lid. The tray includes a bottom panel, a continuous wall panel, and a continuous rim. The continuous wall panel encompasses the bottom panel and extends upwardly from the bottom panel. The continuous rim encompasses an upper edge of the continuous wall panel and projects laterally outwardly therefrom. The lid includes an upper surface and a lower surface. The lower surface of the lid is detachably connected to the continuous rim. The lid has a first inside cut score formed in the lower surface of the lid. The lid has an outside cut score formed in the upper surface of the lid. The outside cut score bridges the periphery of the lid at two points to divide the lid into a main section and a relatively small corner tab. The first inside cut score and the outside cut score are generally parallel and in proximity to each other. The first inside cut score and the outside cut score form a rev cut such that the lid delaminates in a first delamination region between the first inside cut score and the outside cut score in response to pressing down on the corner tab. Additional inside cut scores are preferably provided to facilitate removal of the corner tab from the tray.

摘要： A start-up method and apparatus for continuous casting of molten metal into a cast strip product includes initially casting a start-up alloy having sufficient strength, flexibility and casting surface release properties to achieve steady state casting conditions. A target alloy follows the start-up alloy being cast to produce a cast strip product of the target alloy composition. A start-up alloying vessel is disposed between the source of the target alloy and the casting apparatus to facilitate introduction of a start-up alloy into the casting process or formulation of a particular start-up alloy for initiation of the continuous casting operation.

摘要： A pour spout closure is provided having a base section and a cover section hingedly mounted thereon for selective movement between open and reclose positions. The base section is affixed to a surface of a container and in proximity to an opening formed in such surface. The base section has formed therein a dispensing aperture which is exposed when the cover section is in an open position. The dispensing aperture is in registered relation with the container opening. A flap, connected to a portion of the base section circumjacent the dispensing aperture, is folded relative thereto whereby a peripheral portion of the flap is adjacent the perimeter of the container opening. The cover section is provided with a protuberance which is sized to extend into the container opening when the cover section is in a reclose position. A predetermined exterior portion of the cover section protuberance is yieldably engaged by the flap peripheral portion when the protuberance extends into the container opening.
