    Abstract: According to one embodiment, a display device comprises a liquid crystal layer held between a first substrate and a second substrate, a display region having a first region in which a plurality of pixels are provided, a non-display region provided in an island-like shape in the display region and having a second region, a first polarizer and a second polarizer that overlap the first region, and a third polarizer and a fourth polarizer that overlap the second region, wherein a transmission axis of the fourth polarizer and a transmission axis of the second polarizer form an angle other than 0° and other than 90° with each other.

    Abstract: Disclosed is a display device including an array substrate, a liquid crystal layer over the array substrate, a counter substrate over the liquid crystal layer, a first resin film located under the array substrate and having a first opening overlapping with the liquid crystal layer, a first wavelength plate in the first opening, and a first linear polarizing plate located under and overlapping with the first resin film and the first wavelength plate. The first resin film may be in contact with or spaced apart from the first wavelength plate.

    Abstract: If a divided area of common electrode layers is positioned on a source line, a leakage electric field on the source line has an effect on a liquid crystal layer through the divided area of the common electrode layers. A display device includes an array substrate and a counter substrate. The array substrate includes scanning signal wiring layers, video signal wiring layers, pixel electrode layers arranged in a layer higher than the video signal wiring layers, and common electrode layers arranged in a layer higher than the pixel electrode layers. The common electrode layers are arranged in positions covering the video signal wiring layers in a plan view. The common electrode layers are divided in the extending direction of the video signal line.

The second signal line disposed between the first sub-pixel and the third sub-pixel is formed by a different layer so as to overlap with the third signal line as viewed in a plan view.

    Abstract: A display device includes: first and second drain electrodes; an organic insulating film; an inorganic insulating film formed on the organic insulating film; and first and second pixel electrodes formed on the inorganic insulating film. The organic insulating film includes an organic insulating film opening spanning the first drain electrode and the second drain electrode. The inorganic insulating film covering the organic insulating film includes first and second inorganic insulating film openings. The first pixel electrode is connected to the first drain electrode via the first inorganic insulating film opening. The second pixel electrode is connected to the second drain electrode via the second inorganic insulating film opening.
