Abstract: According to one embodiment, a display device includes first, second, and third interconnects, switch elements, pixel electrodes, a display layer, and a controller. The switch elements are arranged in a matrix configuration, and connected to the first and second interconnects. The pixel electrodes are electrically connected to the switch elements. The third interconnects oppose the pixel electrodes. The display layer is provided on the pixel electrodes. The controller is electrically connected to the first, second, and third interconnects. The second interconnects include a first color interconnect. The controller performs a first operation of sequentially selecting the first interconnects and supplying a first color image signal to the first color interconnect. The controller performs a second operation of sequentially selecting the first interconnects and supplying a second color image signal to the first color interconnect. The controller performs a third operation being different from the first and second operations.

The control circuit unit is provided in the peripheral region, and includes a first circuit unit including a third line connection line, and a third line switch. The second substrate unit includes a second substrate and fourth lines. The display function layer is provided between the first and second substrate units. Abstract: A display device includes a sensor, a display panel, and a plurality of electrodes for a touch sensor. The plurality of electrodes include drive electrodes and detection electrodes. The drive electrodes are also used as common electrodes for display, which are provided in the display panel. An image display operation of the display panel and a driving operation of the electrodes for the touch sensor are performed in a time sharing manner. In the driving operation of the electrodes for the touch sensor, a code division multiplexing (CDM) drive is performed in units of successive common electrodes, and a drive signal which synchronizes with the CDM drive is input to all common electrodes other than successive common electrodes subjected to the CDM drive.

Abstract: According to one embodiment, a display device includes first interconnects, second interconnects, an electrode layer, pixel electrodes, a display layer and a controller. The first interconnects extend in a first direction and are arranged in a second direction. The second interconnects extend in the second direction and are arranged in the first direction. The electrode layer is aligned with a plane including the first and the second direction, and has openings. The second interconnects include a first signal line of a first color and a second signal line of the first color most proximal to the first signal line. The controller performs a first operation of supplying signals of a first polarity to the first and the second signal lines. The controller performs a second operation of supplying signals of a second polarity to the first and the second signal lines.

Abstract: To provide a liquid crystal display device with a touch detection function in which any drive method can be adopted. The liquid crystal display device is provided with: a liquid crystal element arrangement that has a plurality of liquid crystal display elements arranged in a matrix shape; a plurality of scanning lines that are arranged in each row of the liquid crystal element arrangement, and supply scanning signals to a plurality of liquid crystal display elements arranged in a corresponding row; a plurality of signal lines that are arranged in each column of the liquid crystal element arrangement, and supply an image signal to a plurality of liquid crystal display elements arranged in a corresponding column; a plurality of touch detection drive electrodes which are arranged in a column of the liquid crystal element arrangement, and to which a drive signal for detecting a touch is supplied; and a touch control part that specifies a touch detection drive electrode from the a plurality of touch detection drive electrodes. Abstract: According to an aspect, a display device with a touch detection function includes a display panel and a touch panel. The touch panel includes first electrodes extending in one direction. The display panel includes second electrodes interesting with the first electrodes in planar view and serving as common electrodes that supply a common potential to pixels in a display area. The display panel also includes pixel signal lines and scanning signal lines interesting with each other in planar view. The pixel signal lines and the scanning signal lines are made into a floating state in a touch detection period in which a first drive signal is applied to the first electrodes, and a second drive signal is applied to the second electrodes at predetermined intervals to perform touch detection based on change in voltage of the first electrodes and change in voltage of the second electrodes.

In the above structure, the first and second line groups are disposed with a space between the first line group and the second line group, and at least a part of the scanner is disposed in the space between the first line group and the second line group.
