    摘要： A flame retardant additive composition comprising a phosphoric acid salt selected from the group consisting of melamine phosphate, melamine pyrophosphate, melamine orthophosphate, ammonium phosphate, ammonium phosphate amide, phosphoric acid amide, melamine polyphosphate, ammonium polyphosphate, ammonium polyphosphate amide, polyphosphoric acid amide and combinations of two or more of the foregoing; a metal hydroxide; and an organic phosphate. The flame retardant additive is useful in a wide range of thermoplastic compositions.

    摘要： A thermoplastic composition includes a poly(arylene ether), a hydrogenated block copolymer, a pre-blend of a thermoplastic vulcanizate and a hydrogenated block copolymer, an ethylene/alpha-olefin copolymer, and a hydrocarbon resin. Pre-blending the thermoplastic vulcanizate with a portion of the hydrogenated block copolymer was found to markedly improve the flame resistance and physical properties of the composition compared to those of compositions in which the thermoplastic vulcanizate and hydrogenated block copolymer are separately added to the final compounding process. Addition of hydrocarbon resin further improves the balance of flame retardancy and physical properties.

    摘要： A flexible thermoplastic composition comprises poly(arylene ether); a plasticizer having an affinity for polyolefin; a polyolefin and a hydrogenated block copolymer of an alkenyl aromatic compound and a conjugated diene, wherein the polyolefin comprises (i) an ethylene/C7-C20 alpha olefin copolymer having an alpha olefin content greater than or equal to about 10%, (ii) a thermoplastic vulcanizate (iii) a combination of linear low density polyethylene and a thermoplastic vulcanizate, (iv) a combination of an ethylene/C7-C20 alpha olefin copolymer having an alpha olefin content greater than or equal to about 10%, a linear low density polyethylene, and a thermoplastic vulcanizate, (v) a combination of an ethylene/C7-C20 alpha olefin copolymer having an alpha olefin content greater than or equal to about 10% and a thermoplastic vulcanizate or (vi) a combination of an ethylene/C7-C20 alpha olefin copolymer having an alpha olefin content greater than or equal to about 10% and linear low density polyethylene.

    摘要： A composition includes a poly(arylene ether) and a crosslinked block copolymer of an alkenyl aromatic monomer, such as styrene, and a conjugated diene, such as butadiene. The crosslinked block copolymer includes 50 to about 90 weight percent of repeating units derived from the alkenyl aromatic monomer. The composition exhibits improved ductility relative to a corresponding composition in which the block copolymer is not crosslinked.
