Abstract:
A method and apparatus for providing telephone conversation information with a called party in a call state to a third party on a network is disclosed. The method comprises acquiring a telephone conversation voice corresponding to a keyword in a call state and transmitting a message regarding a declaration of an emergency to a third party.
Abstract:
A method and device for providing an application for an external accessory in a wireless terminal, by which related applications corresponding to a type of an external accessory connected to a wireless terminal can be displayed. Instead of sifting through applications or searching for the appropriate ones for the external accessory, the invention causes them to be displayed. To this end, the device includes a display unit for displaying related applications for an external accessory connected to the wireless terminal and a controller for sensing a type of the external accessory connected to the wireless terminal and extracting and displaying related applications for the external accessory.
Abstract:
A broadcasting system is provided, which includes an input unit including a character set button, and a broadcasting reception device. The broadcasting reception device includes a broadcasting information storing unit storing a PSIP, a broadcasting station title loading unit loading a broadcasting channel corresponding to a title information of a broadcasting station set by the character set buttons using the PSIP stored in the broadcasting information storing unit, and a broadcasting title data displaying unit displaying a broadcasting channel loading the broadcasting station title loading unit.
Abstract:
A method for displaying a home screen in a mobile terminal includes determining a location of the mobile terminal, determining a screen associated with the determined location among multiple screens; and setting the screen associated with the determined location as a home screen.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a compatible progressive download method and system. In the system, a terminal acquires format information of a remote content file prior to download of the content file and sets a progressive download environment based on the acquired format information. The terminal then simultaneously downloads data in a position corresponding to the format information from a server and plays the downloaded data. At this time, receipt of each media data, i.e., audio data and video data, is performed independently and a progressive download is performed in such a way that media data that is smaller than its threshold during playback is downloaded to fill a buffer. This progressive download method can be applied to downloading of content in other formats in addition to formats defined by the 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP). Therefore, it is not necessary for the server to modify the format of content according to the 3GPP standard.
Abstract:
In accordance with the present invention, a distal protection and embolic material retrieval device with improved apposition to both large and small vessel walls of varying geometries for enhancing the filtering of embolic material during intravascular procedures while allowing for the passage of blood is provided. The device includes a filter basket designed to maximize apposition of the filtering portion to that of the vessel wall and may include struts which provide circumferential support to the filtering membrane and thereby minimizing or eliminating in-folding of the filter basket. Thin film materials may also be utilized for the filtering membrane of the filter basket. In addition one can incorporate biological and/or pharmaceutical agents in combination with the present invention.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for controlling the output of a surveillance image, are discussed. According to an embodiment, the method includes checking whether an event is detected in at least one inputted surveillance image; and if the event is detected, determining whether to switch over to a surveillance image in which the event is detected, from a first surveillance image currently being displayed.
Abstract:
A bifurcated prosthetic stent graft has two stent grafts with co-located respective first ends, and disparately located respective second ends. Each stent grafts includes a first stent segment at the first end of the stent graft having a semicircular portion and a diameter portion connecting the ends of the semicircular portion and held in tension by the ends of the semicircular portion, defining a substantially D-shape. Compression and heat applied to the diameter portion during manufacture of the stent results in the diameter portion being in tension when the stent is deployed. One or more transition segments transitions the stent graft between a substantially D-shape and a substantially circular shape. A vascular graft encloses the first stent segment and one or more transition stent segments, the vascular graft providing a fluid flow lumen from the first end of the stent graft to the second end.
Abstract:
A prosthetic stent graft for the treatment of AAA includes a plurality of graft legs, each secured in a deployed position by a sealing gasket within a stent segment of the sealing gasket and to one side of a framing bracket. The framing bracket traverses the diameter of the stent segment and extends axially away, dividing the first stent segment into two portions, each portion for receiving a graft leg of the stent graft. The sealing gasket can include a stabilizer having a second generally cylindrical stent segment, and an extension bracket traversing the diameter of the second stent segment and extending away from the second stent segment. The extension bracket and the first bracket are connected with one another at a mutual generally central position.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a liquid crystal display (LCD) wherein driving stability is secured. The LCD includes Optically Compensated Birefringence (OCB) mode liquid crystal cells formed where a data line and a scan line cross over within a display region of an LCD panel, a panel driver for driving the data and the scan lines, and OCB mode dummy liquid crystal cells formed within a non-display region of the LCD panel to surround the liquid crystal cells. Liquid crystal in each of the dummy liquid crystal cells sustains a bend state when the liquid crystal cells in the display region are driven corresponding to a data signal applied from the data line.
