Abstract: One example may include a process that includes establishing a connection between a client device and a server, monitoring communication over the connection to identify whether there is a communication delay based on one or more communication thresholds, establishing another connection between the client device and the server when a communication delay is detected based on the one or more communication thresholds, bonding the connection and the another connection permitting data packets associated with an application used by the client device to be split between the connection and the another connection, and forwarding a portion of the data packets associated with the application to the client device over the connection and concurrently forwarding a remaining portion of the data packets associated with the application over the another connection.

Abstract: Techniques are described for providing a distributed application load-balancing architecture that supports multipath transport protocol for client devices connecting to an application service. Rather than having client devices generate new network five-tuples for new subflows to the application servers, the techniques described herein include shifting the burden to the application servers to ensure that the new network five-tuples land in the same bucket in the consistent hashing table. The application servers may receive a hashing function utilized by the load balancers to generate the hash of the network five-tuple. By having the application servers generate the hashes, the load balancers are able to continue stateless, low-level processing of the packets to route them to the correct application servers. In this way, additional subflows can be opened for client devices according to a multipath transport protocol while ensuring that the subflows are routed to the correct application server.

Abstract: In accordance with one or more preferred implementations, an overlay network in the form of a dispersive virtual network is implemented utilizing data deflects to implement and facilitate routing in a data plane and call processing deflects to implement and facilitate routing in a control plane. Various nodes in the dispersive virtual network, such as end devices running dispersive virtual networking client software, establish communication channels to these deflects running dispersive virtual networking protocols transported by user datagram protocol (UDP) frames, transmission control protocol (TCP) streams, and hypertext transfer protocol (HTTP) streams. In accordance with one or more preferred implementations, software allows nodes in a dispersive virtual network to automatically detect the channel types that are available at the time the node must initiate a new session, and automatically configure the most efficient communication channel without requiring input from an end user or from a network administrator.

Abstract: Apparatuses, methods, and systems are disclosed for indicating the IMS capability for EPS fallback. One apparatus in a mobile communication network includes a processor and a transceiver that transmits to an IMS network entity a first SIP message comprising a request for establishing a data session, where the first SIP message contains a first contact header field. The transceiver receives a second SIP message from the IMS network entity for establishing the data session, where the second SIP message contains an indicator. The processor determines an IMS network capability from a combination of the first contact header field and the indicator.

Abstract: Method and apparatus for monitoring the status and location of personnel using a remote timer. In some embodiments, a method includes execution of a subject application (app) on a network accessible device. A countdown timer of a remote server is initiated to monitor a time interval, the remote server communicating with the network accessible device over a network. Geo positions of the network accessible device are monitored during the monitored time interval. The remote server sends a notification to a monitoring device responsive to at least one of the following events: the monitored time interval ends without the remote server receiving an authorized personal identification (PID) value; or the remote server receives an unauthorized PID value prior to the conclusion of the monitored time interval. In further embodiments, a notification is sent based on an out-of-bounds geo position of the network accessible device during the time interval.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer-readable media are provided to allow multiple server resources to share a single connection to a client device. The single connection may be maintained between a notification queue on the server side and the client device. Multiple server resources share the notification queue. When a resource changes or a service wants to communicate information to a client, corresponding messages are sent to the notification queue over a connection within the data center. Once in the notification queue, the updates are communicated to the client device.

Abstract: A smart NIC (Network Interface Card) is provided with features to enable the smart NIC to operate as an in-line NIC between a host's NIC and a network. The smart NIC provides pass-through transmission of network flows for the host. Packets sent to and from the host pass through the smart NIC. As a pass-through point, the smart NIC is able to accelerate the performance of the pass-through network flows by analyzing packets, inserting packets, dropping packets, inserting or recognizing congestion information, and so forth. In addition, the smart NIC provides a lightweight transport protocol (LTP) module that enables it to establish connections with other smart NICs. The LTP connections allow the smart NICs to exchange data without passing network traffic through their respective hosts.

Abstract: A system that transmits encapsulated media receives a first request to establish a tunnel with a stream based transport layer, the first request including a tag. The system receives a second request to establish the tunnel with a datagram based transport layer, the second request including the tag. The system establishes the tunnel with the stream based transport layer and receives the encapsulated media over the stream based transport layer. The system establishes the datagram based transport layer for the tunnel in addition to the stream based transport layer and receives the encapsulated media over the datagram based transport layer. The system then releases the stream based transport layer.
